AND Northern Ireland? And possibly Wales? According to this Labour are still in front there

despite losing six seats to the Tories. Dunno how opinion there will swing. Soon it might be the United Kingdom of Buckinghamshire and the Home Counties!

Wales is never going to leave. Their entire legal system is bound up in England in a way that neither Scotland nor Ireland ever were. The constitutional successor to the Kingdom of England is called 'England and Wales'.

Yeah true, the Welsh separatists (if any) have a mountain the size of Mount Snowdon to climb if they want to achieve anything. I don't envy them that task.

Loses? Like losing a tiger from a life raft.

Unless it's a friendly tiger like in that movie The Life of Pi!

There's a group on Facebook called "conservatives getting angry over things they made up themselves". I think it applies very well to you.

Ahh.. the comfort of a social media echo chamber. How predictable that someone like you would know of such a place.

Maybe you could also share some celeb's Twitter account who agrees with everything you already think?

Unsurprising

The rational part of the human brain doesn’t fully develop until the age of 25+. Explains a lot right there.

Typical left.....wrapping themselves in the warm embrace of victim hood.

As per usual.

Great! The longer they refuse to believe it’s not them, and to stick with the status quo, the better it is.

Has anyone noted that more people voted brexit in 2016 17.4 Million
than voted Troy in 2019 13.9 Million.
Has anyone noted that more people voted for Brexit referendum/stop Brexit parties than people who voted for Brexit parties?

Relative poverty isnt poverty. It was something invented so people could still complain there is poverty in the west rather then celebrate the fact the poverty problem was largely solved.

Going by that measure most australians today would be regarded as in poverty in 30 years time when median real income will be much higher.

Relative poverty is nothing more then a measure of inequality. It has nothing to do with poverty and is insulting to those in developing countries that actually experience poverty. We should focus on helping them rather then getting distracted by these fake poverty claims at home.
The key there in your quote is income before housing costs. These are rising at an astonishing rate and therefore real poverty (as in no reliable housing, limited food choices, unable to work) does exist in Australia

Boris is making the right noises so far.

Whether you think it’s bigotry or not, there is genuine and very real concern over immigration throughout the UK right now. They have seen what’s happened in continental Europe, and they don’t want to see that replicated on their own island, any more than it already is.

Boris may well turn out to be another politician that says one thing during the campaign, then does the opposite once in power, but right now, no one is going to convince me (or apparently a healthy chunk of former Labour voters) that he is a worse option then the bloke who is a longtime sympathiser and supporof organisations like Hamas and Hezbollah.

I think Boris will surprise all of us 👍🏻

He’ll certainly surprise his voters when he requests an extension to the transition period next year.
