Getting all excited about 'landslide' its only what corbyn took off may last time. maybe voters are sexist too.

Worst labour vote in terms of seats since the 30s and that understatest it due to:

a) Gerrymander which means Tories need 6-7% lead to win
b) Demographic gerrymander since then which has seen the labour party shamefully import millions of their voters.

As for voters being sexist - they certainly LOVED Maggie.

Identical. What utter pigshit.

For a start they have shared a crown for hundreds of years, speak the same language and a border. Furthermore England is by a huge margin Scotlands biggest trade partner and Scotland is a large net recipient of funds from England not vice versa.

May as well say a ragdoll and a leopard are identical.

James VI of Scotland became James I of England by default 400 years ago. The results of his reign and that of his son: decades of stagnation and a bloody Civil War
Formal political union has only existed since 1701, and the Scots only went along with that because they were near bankrupt after trying to emulate English colonial ambitions, a situation engineered in part by the English
3-400 years really isn't that long in the whole of Scottish history

As far as trade is concerned, I don't think an independent Scotland with their own oil and fishing rights and a strong EU partnership would do as poorly as you suggest

Labour is in an uphill battle but its more to do with the rise of the SNP than anything since
Corbyn was the worst loss in almost 100 years, you can't sugar coat it. I do hope labour can purge the many racists in their ranks and fall out of love with terrorists and rebuild.

First thing they should do is ban anyone in momentum for life and tell Corbyn to resign

Jump to 2:40....for full McDonnell letting mask slip and lurching into weird, pseudo Chancellor Palpatine, totalitarian, rant.

How he was able to segway into an attack on the ‘far right’ like that, when it was a group of Labour people going the slap...simply remarkable.

You say ‘far right’ like it doesn’t exist.

Nah, given bojo main (only) platform was get brexit done I’m satisfied this is what the brits want - for good or ill
There’s a great Now Show ep on this.

“Get Brexit done” and weird promises about undoing the cuts the Tories made over the last decade or so. And a threat that train strikes (happening now under the Tories) would happen under Labour.

As expected the Northern working class communities want Brexit and disregard the terrorist loving Corbyn, dismiss gender politics, mass immigration etc etc etc.

Would have been good to see Labor smashed more though.

It would be good to see Labor actually look after its base.

Not gong to happen, to busy planning for transgender toilets in their manifesto.

The word "transgender" features once in the entire 107 pages of the manifesto, which is about reforming the Gender Recognition Act 2004. By comparison, "jobs" is featured 42 times, "trade union" 20 times, "wages" 8 times etc.

The liberals who have taken over the old social democratic parties may be fairly criticised for focusing too much on niche causes, but Labour under Corbyn has returned to its roots in that sense. If you're still going to be critical and slag them off, maybe you should drop the pretense that you are an old fashioned Labour voter, or concede that you're more obsessed with singling out transgender folk than Corbyn and Labour is.

No his platform was not being the socialist who wanted to cap wages, give workers part ownership of companies and basically initiate a failed socialist experiment.

If it was brexit then support for brexit in polls would be huge. It was actually the opposite. Polls suggested people wanted to remain.

I am an ex Labor voter.

Hopefully they find a leader who inst a terrorist sympathizer and in all likelihood probably worse.

But demographics say they wont and Labor will just end up the party of Islam.

They are destined for oblivion and good riddens.

Okay cool you've shifted the goal post, and demonstrated a poor knowledge of geopolitics in the process.

The Conservatives have admitted to somehow accidentally giving arms funding to the Saudis, who are the greatest exporters of terrorism in the world and are the cause of a horrendous slaughter in Yemen. Corbyn was in a minority opposing the Iraq War (which the old Labour leadership were a major part of supporting) which has been a major factor in the rise of ISIS. And Johnson, it has been noted, has opposed the "waste of money" of trying to rehabilitate convicted terrorists, even if they are not facing life sentences.

The Conservatives are more than willing to support terrorists and justifying their violence if they feel it furthers their interests and the interest of capital.
