What do you guys want from next year?
Here's my wishlist:

Team:

To win as many games as we lose.

To take some big scalps like Richmond and Hawthorn.

To rediscover our identity and find a game plan that works for us consistently.

For our forwardline to function again.

For our young players to establish a clear best 22.

Individuals:

For The Bont to make AA and re-establish himself as a top player in the league.

For Macrae to win the Brownlow.

For English to fulfill his destiny and become our first ruck choice.

For Schache to continue to build into a powerful key forward.

For Williams to play a full season.

For Cordy and Naughton to form a formidable key back partnership.

For Libba's body to hold up.

For Dunkley to continue on his form in the midfield.

Make the 8

Boyd and Schache to play 20+ games each

Libba uninjured and re-signed

Good injury run overall

If all your wishes come true, I’ll be a very happy Bulldog, Scrag.

If I could pick one that I feel is VERY important it would be Libba getting through a full season. I just think another injury would be so cruel on the lad.

A Brownlow for Macrae isn’t unrealistic.

Williams to tear up trees and prove you and me right.

I wish...
For Easton Wood to become a wooden wall in the back half again.

For Libba’s knees to hold up

For English to establish himself as the number 1 ruck

For Tom Boyd to make a meaningful contribution as a forward

Lastly, to see our hunger for tackling and the contested ball return.

Premierships and winning games aside which goes without saying everyone wishes for:

- Tom Boyd plays every game

- Libba back to his best

- Josh Schache kicks 30-40 goals...in fact, any player to kick 30-40. Schache would be excellent though

- Forward line to have better structure and coherence, we had so many problems in 2018 but this was the most glaring

- Tim English puts some weight on and plays majority of season

- Trengove number one ruck

- Liam Picken returns to the side seamlessly

- Debuts for West, Smith and Khamis

- Bont or Macrae Brownlow

Oh, and thump ****ing norf when we play them, the nauseating, detestable, whining little piss stains.

I wish to not look at a lengthy injury list that rarely gets smaller & be tempted to think “how much better would our team be if we had all these players in it”

A bit of luck on the innjury front. And to be competitive in each and every game.
Would be nice to win them all but would be happy to win more than we lose.

I have only a modest list of wishes:
  • Essendon to implode into its own moral vacuum and fold.
  • Carlton to be relegated to the VFL.
  • GWS to be relocated to Hobart.
  • Gil to declare all blockbuster fixtures (subject to geographical constraints) will be awarded on a bidding basis to the teams that featured in the previous year's finals series with first choice given to the premiers, second choice to the runners up, etc.
  • 23 Friday night fixtures (incl Easter Thursday) also to be allocated on a strict merit basis:
    • Previous year's bottom 4 get zero FN games
    • 12-14th get one each
    • 10th-11th get 2
    • 7th-9th get 3
    • 5th-6th get 4
    • 3rd-4th get 5
    • 1st-2nd get 6
  • All recent rule changes to be rescinded
  • Bont to have a breakout season and win the Brownlow by 16 votes
  • Tom Boyd to discover how to take marks and then finish with 62 goals for the season including a Norm Smith winning performance of 10 goals in the GF
  • Dogs to finish top of the ladder for the first time EVER
  • Dogs to beat Hawthorn in the GF by 77 points
  • Buku Khamis to win the Rising Star
  • Picken to play two games to make 200 for his career ... and then pull the pin
  • WB to win back to back flags in the AFLW
  • Josh Kelly to request a trade to the Dogs when GWS finish 14th after Rd 23
  • Dogs to crack 60,000 members with 10,000 of them coming from the Ballarat region

1. Bont to average 30 and 2 goals a game
2. Macrae to average 35+ and 1 goal a game
3. Libber to do what he did in 2016 without any injury
4. Dunkley and Hunter to improve their kicking
5. Gowers and McLean to kick 50-60 between them
6. Naughton, Cordy, Morris Crozier, JJ and Wood to play at least 20 games together.
7. 2016 finals Picken to return.
8. Schache to develop a physical presence
9. Boyd’s GF form become a regular occurrence
10. English show glimpses of being Dean Cox

I'd like us to finish 5th at the end of the H&A season. Then I'd like us to play
  • EF - Essendon
  • SF - Melbourne
  • PF - Richmond
  • GF - Collingwood
And then we have another go at going back to back

That is a good list but you just needed to add in norf doing s**t along with Essendon, GWS and Carlton

Tom Boyd to have a good year. Take a look at Will Pucovski - the next big thing in Australian cricket. He is also out battling mental issues due to the hype. It’s not just AFL footy. Just let Tom do his thing at his own rate. He’s my number one on my Wishlist.

A good and happy year from Libba.

Dogs back in finals.

High pressure football back in action.
