Round One starts today at Phillip Island. I love this weekend.

Last year I didn't even bother with a thread for this series. Johnny Rea had the series boring. This year, however, there is cause for optimism. Ducati are back with a new model and Alvaro Bautista hot out of MotoGP. Yamaha have two factory backed teams and last year win races and became consistent podium finishers. BMW and Honda have factory teams again. This is going to be exciting.

I'm not getting this.

If you now win one wsbk race in your career, that being a superpole race, does that mean you now count as a wsbk race winner?

A fair question with no clear answer. I assume there will be a differentiation between full races and sprint races in the records. Ditto with the traditional superpole records and the new sprint race.
