The Phoenix Suns are the real deal in 2020-21. With a win over Utah and given where they are in the current standings, they can make run for it in the west this season.

Warriors missing Oubre and Wiseman, and Nuggets been hot of late. Im backing Denver to continue their good form and to cover the -4.5 handicap today.
NBL bet. Josh Giddey is currently 3.75 at SB for a double-double against Cairns tonight. He has two triple-doubles in a row. Only missed the DD twice in the last 10 games (one of those was against Cairns with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists).

Went at this one again at odds of 2.37 today and was pissed off when he was falling well short of the DD, and with only 20 seconds to go I wrote it off. Game went into overtime and he got the triple double.

Following the Lakers v Phoenix game today
No LeBron James, Kuzma and Caruso is playing tonight despite being questionable for this game. Davis and Caldwell-Pope will play but both playing with niggling injuries. Right now its a question of who the Lakers can put on court.
Ayton is coming off a big game with 26 pts against New York. He is 6 from 9 , after getting 20+ points the previous night and backing up following night, scoring 15 pts or more the following night coming from a streak of no games where he achieved 20 pts or more.

Portland has a tougher run home to hold on to that 6th spot

Given that the Mavericks have a easy run home, Lakers need to beat Portland by a clear game to pinch that 6th spot.

Also I am a big fan of this play-in format. There are no longer dead spots between 7th-10th. Teams who win the play-in spot, then have a bit of momentum come playoff time.
In fact I'd even support if, it were a best of 3 format for those 7th v 8th, 9th v 10th format.

Im not a fan of it at all. Theres a real chance each year a team with a losing record could make playoffs
The season is 72 (usually 82) games, if that cant decide playoff seeding, something is wrong.
Itll add intrigue but i dont think mediocrity should be rewarded

This Phoenix still has question marks for me. Feel like they are a season away from challenging from title. Match up wise, Lakers much more better defensively than them.

At the moment given the current teams that played the 7th and 8th in western conference. It's neck and neck for me. Feel like the Lakers defence v Warriors offence should be pretty exciting..
A 7th v 8th battle between these two at the moment I'd price- factoring into account home court advantage.
