5 rounds into the season I have a little stat for you.

Canberra United are yet to score a goal in the first half, in fact only one of their goals this season has been scored before the 70th minute, and that was their first goal for the season. I feel really sorry for their manager, Vicki Linton, she must be having heart palpitations every game, with her girls leaving it so late to score the winner (as was the case against Adelaide and Melbourne City) or the equalizer like on the weekend against Perth.

UNBELIEVABLE finish to the Canberra/Perth match tonight, Canberra won two penalties within 90 seconds of each other and Fletcher misses both. The first hit the post and the second went wide. And while that was happening Perth had a player sent off for a second yellow (I think, a lot was going on).

Five minutes later, Canberra win it in the 93rd minute with another Heyman goal after Perth fought back twice, both Perth goals were from outside the 18 yard box, chipping the goalkeeper.

And Heyman is now the W-Leagues all-time leading goal scorer.

I was watching the Canberra/Newcastle match this evening and heard an amazing stat, Canberra United have not lost, ever, when ahead at halftime. Thirteen seasons in the W-League and Canberra have been in front 50 times at halftime and won 45 and drawn five.

Tonight Canberra led 1-0 at halftime and won again. It was raining during most of the game, but the last 10 minutes it was coming down with such force you could barely see the action. If it had of been raining this hard in the first half I'm sure they would have abandoned the game.
