He's a ****en BULL!

He'd probably wanna punch on with Cunners for the 10 jumper that day he gets to Arden Street.:D

This is his underage year?!

For! ****s! Sake! Draft! Him!

Phillips is our guy . Serious talent .
Imagine if dees suck big time tho and we get both Phillips and Hollands

That’s the midfield set for a decade

But even if dees do ok I think we’d still be able to get 1 of the above plus Trew or Bruhn which would also set our midfield up for a decade

Really hope we find a way to get a 3rd first rounder be it through trading brown or some other way

Refresh the list like port and suns did with 3 firsts
I’d be looking to get picks in for the 2021 draft , apparently the talent is absurd . Horne every bit as good as Rowell .

So no McDonald for you then

Sold.

Stevens and Cunnington can hold him aloft like baby Simba on draft day.

Note: never seem him play which still places me in the upper percentiles of talent spotters

Recruiters need to be really careful they aren't taking the next Josh Toy i.e the guy who looked dominant because he physically developed quicker than his peers.

That's going to be the biggest risk when evaluating blokes without u18s form. Not necessarily saying it's the case with Phillips as for every Josh Toy there's a Sam Walsh, but there's definitely going to be a few clubs burned by the early developing man children.

Not sold on Phillips. His kicking is OK but on the left side it just looks unnatural.

If we have a top 2 pick, we need to make sure it sets us up properly.

Cue the trade Brown for a round 1 draft to bring McDonald in crowd.

He seems to be a good kick on his right and effective on his left. He may not have the length in his kicking as some others but he looks to be able to hit his targets. Plus his hands are great, he is fit as fuxk, is a tackling machine and a real 'culture' guy. My main concern is his pace. We don't want to load our midfiled with a bunch of mid paced players.

Anyone see some similarities with Phillips and Ollie Wines? They seem like very similar players to me.

While I love his work I’m not sure he is damaging enough by foot to be taken in the top 3.

Hollands would be my ideal choice because of his explosiveness.

For Shame KC!

I have entered all of the kids data in to my Cray super-computer and after careful analysis I have studiously deduced the following:

1) We need another mid, and he's broadly rated in the first 3.
2) The head fits the bill.
3)#

#Never seen him play either.

Edited due to culturally appropriating *

It won’t happen because the club would be too scared to do it, but if we were smart that’s exactly what we would do.

There are no gauruntees with drafting obviously, but North is not winning a flag in the next 3 years.

If we have a top 2 pick and McDonald and thilthorpe continue on their current form against men for the rest of the year, we would be stupid to not take one and turn brown into 2 first rounders. Stupid!

Next years top end looks like 2018. The year we chose Polec over max king, rozee, Smith etc. we did however pick up a flanker that may turn out ok but is getting smoked for form from every pick before him.

He's extremely efficient with his disposal. As I've said before he reminds me of a Neale/Mitchell type, not Bontempelli.

Hollands is more damaging by foot and a game winner in the Bontempelli mold while Phillips is an extremely clean midfielder who's as good of a tackler as I've ever seen who'll kill you with 1,000 cuts.

So what are we talking here

Hollands = Bontempelli
Phillips = Pendlebury

Holland’s looks good no doubt. My question is how many players have done an acl in their draft year and turned into guns? Not that the past influences the future but he’d be the first i think.

A direct comparison is tough for Hollands. Honestly the jury is still out on whether Hollands is a midfielder.
Best Phillips comparison for me is definitely Mitchell. Clean with his disposal, great at spreading from the contest and linking up around the ground and lays a crapload of tackles.

Pendles is a lot more damaging on the outside but doesn't lay the defensive pressure around the contest that Phillips does.

Yeah I'm wary of the risk associated with Hollands. Definitely wouldn't be taking him with our first pick. One of the things many people are overlooking is that Hollands was transitioning from a half-forward to full time mid towards the back end of last year. He hasn't quite proven his ability to play as a full time mid whereas Phillips has shown he is an elite midfielder.

Is Phillips a brute and does it by size/strength or has he got pendles like ability to hurt you.
