AFL 2020 - AFL Round 8

And also if betting on Most Disposals for the Fremantle group, i reckon there could be a bit of value looking for an outsider. None of their players last week could notch up 20+ Disposals . (If curious the Eagles had 5 players who had 20+ Disposals)

PS: You can tell by the tone of my last 2 posts, I was onto a loser with Walters for possies last week. So I hold no hard feelings towards Dockers fans either.

Another interesting round. Thought about keeping the betting against Sydney train running another week, but don't really wanna bet on the Hawks atm.

Agree that the Giants look a good bet. With Greene coming back and at home, has a similar feel to the Collingwood game.

Feels so weird to say but Carlton actually looks like the safest H2H favourite of the round.

Pretty confident about Port winning but not a tonne of value at 1.35

Michael Walters to me , despite being an All-Australian last year, isn't an 'elite' midfielder in my opinion in comparison to a Fyfe or Dangerfield. His specialist position, for which he was picked as an All-Australian in 2019 was as a small roving forward. If Fyfe were fit , Walters would be the small forward crumbing off the work of Lobb and Taberner. He picked up 18 disposals last week and I think playing him there weakens the Freo team, he is more effective in the forward line. The problem for the Dockers is they don't have much depth in the midfield region. Midfielders : Cerra, Brayshaw, Mundy and Darcy Tucker would not cause fear into any AFL team. Im not sure if Walters is the kind of player that can go in and get the ball at first use. (his size with a slightly lighter frame, i think is a disadvantage to Freo, endurance wise there are question marks as well- only picked up 2 disposals in the last quarter). In the midfield your more likely to get a better tagger as well, in comparison to a better defender. (big difference between the two) I take back my comment, earlier in the week saying Freo were the value. Freo's best chance is to keep it low scoring and with the help of the home crowd to get them over the line.
Walters was a mid-forward last year and was BOG in at least a couple of wins for Freo last year playing as one, with Fyfe in the team

The one game I'm not going nor is the GWS game...if Greene doesn't play Richmond win, GWS have a horrid record without Greene.

As for Sydney be careful of the AA bets, Sam Reid is probably back and that's the way I've gone with him any time goal.

The one I don't mind is quite a few Carlton players as frankly North are woeful

I'm confident Greene plays. He only just missed last week and it has only been reported as "shin soreness".

I'm so not going near that game until the teams are announced. I won't say they are a 1 man team but they are very close to it with his influence.

So probably a hairline fracture of the tibia. :drunk:
Don't say that o_O
Money already coming in for the Giants, out to -7.5 now. Toby is a huge in, but also remember they've just gotten thei BnF winner from last year back too. Too much polish, talent, and experience for the Tiges.

I heard that script last week I can never catch the Giants this week will be a small bet game for me. You are right the Giants should win but there’s a big SHOULD there

Taranto rested forward a fair bit last week (2 goals) coming back from injury and i expect him to do the same this week.

Any time GS $2.30
2 or more $13

Will be chucking him into my same game multis and might have a ping at him for 2
And is actually a highly capable fwd.
Most of his best games in the U18 champs were as a HFF. Only moved into the midfield late.
Good shout if he lines up there.
EDIT: 2+ SB hit in to $6.50
AGS is $3 on TAB

2u Either team under 19.5 (crows vs essendon) @ $1.95 (TAB)

If you're still reading this post, hear me out.. 😂
Essendon's wins have come against Freo, Sydney, Collingwood, North. Three of those being bottom 4 sides, and the other a gutsy win vs the pies with accurate kicking and a full strength side. Crows seemed to lift with the support of the home crowd, and although they lost against the saints there is a lot of positive talk around their performance where they won the I50 count and managed to control the ball in the forward 50 for large periods of time. Essendon are without 4 important players in Shiel, Stringer, Heppell, and Hooker. English had a big game on the weekend, and I expect big ROB to be similar (will have a bet on him) and offer support around the ground. Line has moved from 14.5 to 12.5 today, so we get a good price for this match to keep close either way.

2u O'Brien 15+ @ $2.30 (SB)
0.5u O'Brien 20+ @ $5.50 (SB)

Had weightman for 2 last week at $9 and he is still at $7.50 for this week.

Also sucking played forward last week is a chance for 2 again if he has the same role $7.50 or AGS $2.20

Sam Day anytime gs into Hawkins 3+
8 dollars and 5 cents.
Freos key backmen likely to miss again and even JK who has been in average form had 8 pings against them last week.
