Clearly he is not equipped to be playing on Tom Lynch, especially when the forward line was so vacant and Lynch had the entire 50 to work in. There isn't a defender in the AFL that could have stopped that.

Have you seen him play live? Not having a go at you but if you seen him play you would very concerned if he was to have to step up to the ruck in the AFL

This is despite Cox being woefully out of form.

Well if all those players had resigned, they wouldn't be here.

You cannot trade or cut everyone though. What should Essendon do with Daniher? Other clubs do have crocks too. Think of trading them, but you also need a replacement. If you trade young players while they're at the height of injuries, you don't maximise value.

You mention Ryder above but he has some injury issues too. They probably may have considered trading some of the above had they been able to snare Lynch.

I'd look to trade Sier, Elliott, Thomas and if the right offer was presented Sidebottom.

Tomlinson and Papley should be the targets and both should be gettable.

Maybe GC throws some big coin at Sidey and we can facilitate a trade for Ben King as we all know he's coming home.

If Hawthorn rebuild quickly and get straight back up there, you'll have a point, but you don't yet. The "Hawthorn like" stuff has happened after they were contenders. There's nothing to suggest that it's a successful way of operating. When they were contenders, they didn't trade out anyone of note.

I don’t agree with Everythinf Darkyprotector has written but I agree there’s a need to cull as many injury prone players as well can.


I also think the large turnover won’t affect cohesion that negatively since most of the players getting cut don’t play anyways.

Your trades would make next year less disappointing than this year. This year has been really disappointing because we all went into it with so much hope. But if we do those trades, we'll remove a fair bit of hope.
