Lloyd = locked.

Daniel, Laird. Ryan is a gun, coming in to his 4th season and has every chance to go 100+ IMO. Just easier to go with Daniel, who is more of a ball magnet with a lower floor IMO. Laird a known quantity.

Docherty - you'd be mad not to factor him in to your starting squad at this stage. He was the #1 defender before he went down with injuries. Unless he shows signs of injury in the pre-season, he has to be in your squad if you're serious about SC. See Zac Williams in 2019.

I see the argument for Houston and Dawson, wouldn't go near Milera or Blakely at this stage. Top 6 defenders to me will be Lloyd, Laird, Williams, Daniel, Docherty, Sicily (Houli) so I don't really see the point in starting someone in the Houston/Dawson price range if I don't consider them a keeper. Doedee/Roberton more suited as starters, as you could treat them as a stepping stone type.

Lloyd - not starting, willing to wait to see if the scoring from the second half of last year continues.

Daniel and Laird - I'll wait and see if Young has any impact on Ryans scoring, Young is elite in intercept possessions.

Doch - Not starting at this stage, few unknowns with how Carlton will set up down back and unsure if they will manage his minutes early on.

Only interested in Houston at this stage based on role, questions on role for the rest.

The Daw pick I've seen around here a few times now is baffling to me. He's more expensive than Doedee and Roberton, he has a lower ceiling than Doedee and Roberton, and he's coming back from a more serious injury than Doedee or Roberton. I just don't see why you'd do it.

Probably not a must have but probably there with a couple of others behind Rowell as most likely to stick from this year's draft class.

Brings something we really need in the back half. Wilson touch and go for round one so a good bet to play, should play even with him there tbh.

Usual qualifiers needs to be picked round 1 etc etc but can see him sticking in the team. Serong too but I don't think he plays round 1.

Milera currently in my team, just hit 60 games and the talent is there, and It's not like Adelaide is going to have huge competition for points.
