Best we could do is 9, 22, 23, and future second. Absolutely a lot but even then hawthorn may say no. For me I would do it get our guys. Two guys be guns around for ten years plus, crows loyal forever.

Leave us with Holland tilthorpe hately hinge borlase and maybe newchurch, and draft capital maybe get Horne next year. Imagine adding Horne coupled with hollands midfield set ten years plus hately and Schoenberg, Jones we will be ok
Following year money throw at lucosious ranking
Few guys FA next year so more draft capital coming.

And we've already chosen Mackay...

Just kidding  I don't mind the Macster ... the finishing line is not far off.

9, 22 and our 2021 second and Melbourne’s 2021 second?

I’d do it

Be bold just do it, so unlike Adelaide, just do wat it takes to get the guys u want that will be loyal all career tilthorpe hollands. Get it done. Don’t think hawthorn could pass up 5 place downgrade for two early seconds and if have too add early second next year. Sure all crows supporters would say start car make it happen. For once be bold just get it done. If either turns out like rozzie no one will care, but expect we will have two guns, require a pick with hawthorn, how could they refuse that.

We don’t and neither do 16 other clubs.

Really, if you're talking Taj Schofield I've seen a fair bit of his footy and he's certainly talented, ultra highly skilled and has a great athletic profile...only thing he has going against him is size.

What would it take to get 4 from Hawthorn?

9 & 22 and a 2021 second? More?

We just have to get Thilthorpe and Hollands

Probably 9 + our 2021 first + something else. Or pick 1.

Hawks have minimal worthwhile youth at this point in time. That pick isn't moving, not without a kings ransom.

If we end up with Thilthorpe and Hollands, it's due to Thilthorpe sliding to pick 9. That's not unfeasible at this point in time. 100 kg and a groin injury could certainly spook a team.

We could try our 2021 1st, but I'm not sure that's worth it for Hawthorn. They need to start rebuilding now.

Has anyone done any estimates on where picks might move too? i.e.

If bid on JUH at 1,

1 --> 2
9 --> 10
...
Still waiting on someone with more time to figure out where our picks will land after 1st round NGA/FS get bid on.

Come on guys!
I've come to the conclusion that how picks are affected by bid matching is a very complex beast and it's not always straight forward.

Take Sydney's pick 3 for example. If we make a bid at 1 for Campbell and Sydney decide to match and it's in their best interest to bite the bullet and just use 3 on Campbell, then subsequent picks are pretty much not affected.

But with being able to trade picks out just after a bid is made, they might trade pick 3 to another club - let's say it's the Bumbs** - then the Bumbs get pick 3 which becomes pick 4 because Sydney match at pick 1.

This is if the Bumbs use future picks in their trade with Sydney for 3. But... if the Bumbs use some of their picks 6,7,8 to trade for 3, then this might not have an effect on our pick 9 at all - maybe move it to 8, even.

It's really only FA compo and priority picks that have a definite negative impact on subsequent picks.

**cos I like saying the Bumbs

Yep and a player to keep an eye out for in 2022 Will Verrall, pity he's not an NGA, gonna be the Ruckman of the 2022 Draft.

question of cal T asked tonite about who crows take and wat they do at pick 1

said just like last year move back 2 spots ( Sydney ) get first rounder next year.

Take wat u want from that.

For me thrill Thorpe at 3 with their first next year. They obviously take McDonald.
,
For crows that be good if at 4 Hawthorn pick Holland still there 9 and future first ( Sydney ) for Hollands.

maybe intel NM won’t choose tilthorpe or Holland’s.
Question at two do NM give up Holland tilthorpe

maybe if we have 3 do deal with NM 9 and future first for two, with bit sugar.

Get Holland tilthorpe, maybe we r determined get pick 2 and 3

unless just taking thrill Thorpe and Sydney first for 2021 . Be happy with that too, big Win

I think the Crows will definitely be surveying their options to see if they can get an extra early pick for next year, like they did with a deal with GWS last year to move back two spots.

It'll be dependant on who we want I reckon. If we want McDonald we aren't moving.

Hollands and Thilthorpe you could but you wouldn't want to get too clever.

So we are loading up on 4th rounders because of NGA next year?
Maybe for us, maybe to trade with other clubs who need points... and to get something, of any value, for picks that have zero value to us this year.

Heck, we could end up trading out 2021 4th rounders for 2022 picks.

I like what we've done, I think it's smart.
