Stunned Cox isn't projected to be a top 10 pick. Can we trade up and take him please.

Yeah, we are in the perfect spot to catch some sliders and clubs might get desperate to get a particular player. Wouldn't be surprised if we get a future 1st for 18/19 from one of the better sides. From !istening to Taylor in that interview it sounded like we could be looking to trade down with one of our picks rather than up given he said something along the lines of "we will see what calls come to us on the night"

A very tantalising prospect. 200cm, sub 3 second 20m, endurance machine who can consistently hit targets by foot. What's his downside? Probably rooted some bird on a school camp or something.Stunned Cox isn't projected to be a top 10 pick. Can we trade up and take him please.

This. Inevitable. Speed, outside run and good ball users please..pre draft night: "outside run, creative, good ball users, good decision makers"
post draft night: "we really love his contest work and his character"
I really hope the club does another draft night video again. I really liked the one from last year (with the additional insights we got during the 'To Hell and Back' series).
In terms of using picks, I'd like to see us bring guys in this year as opposed to next. Having another 3 top 35 picks to add to Jackson, Pickett and Rivers gives us a good core of high-end picks coming up behind Petracca/Brayshaw/Oliver/Weid. Taylor's gonna smash this draft, I can feel it!
yep wouldn't care if he slipped through to our first pick. wouldn't have him with an attitude like that, go play VFL.Archie Perkins requesting to stay in Victoria, good luck taking that kid. Wouldn't want him near us if that's his attitude.
Chad WingardBailey Smithsaid the same thing, but his sooky attitude hasn't stopped him from being a gun.PLAYERCARDSTART3Bailey Smith

It's stupid Perkins came out on radio and said it publically but if he somehow slides to our pick I'd definitely take him on talent alone.
Seems to be a bit of a Vic Metro thing
No current season stats available
As a private school kid, I can say that we have tried our best to be less entitled. Private Schools have now removed the excursion to Monaco for year 10s and they have replaced the Moet at lunchtime with Prosecco. Talk about country battlers!!!I'd also rather a rough around the edges country kid (Clarry eating chicken nuggets and drink driving) than a blue-blooded, entitled private school kid, if we had to choose between the two.
The Wingard example is probably a good one, he refused to be drafted anywhere else then seemingly grew up enough to understand a better future probably existed for him at the Hawks, away from Adelaide.
Kids can change. Gotta back your "system/kulture/journey" to get the most out of the talented kids, despite how challenging they are.
Exactly, I want the kids who can face their issues even if there's a few of them, not the ones who are already choosing to run away from them at 18.I'd also rather a rough around the edges country kid (Clarry eating chicken nuggets and drink driving) than a blue-blooded, entitled private school kid, if we had to choose between the two.

Holmes is very athletic and a very good runner. Although I feel he falls under the umbrella of “ athlete” that could turn into a footballer.
At what pick are they forecasting we will use for him??
You'd be making your way over to him as an opposition player every game he plays interstate and condescendingly ask if he's missing his mum etc surely.Just heard the Archie Perkins audio grab on SEN1116. If he doesn't feel ready to travel and feels he won't be able to give 100% if he has to that's fine but perhaps he should not enter the draft until he is ready.
I dont see the problem with an 18year old saying he doesn't want to up and move. the oh its the AFL bullshit argument is trash. no different to players wanting to come home after a year or 2. Mental health and all but how dare an 18year think he would struggle not being around friends and family. I'd take him cause he is being an honest campaigner over some Terry tough campaigner who thinks he shits gold
