So essentially a third with the second we got from Port moving back to this year for points. Makes sense though the third will probably be more valuable than I hope.

Hopefully Port do well next season because I’ll be peeved if it ends up being a Top 25 pick we traded away.

With the future picks based upon ladder positions from this years this trade rates Hickey as Pick 38

We have added 395 draft points going from 3283 points to 3678 points which is the going rate Pick 42 or finishing around 17th.

Basically have traded Aliir for Hickey

Pretty bloody good result imo.

Need Brand amd Melican to hold up down back.

Fwd will rely on Buddy, Paps, Hayward, Heeney.

Then need to find another key fwd for 2022 and beyond.

I can see hickey being serviceable in all honesty, but still pretty salty about Aliir going. We talk about developing a list through the draft, but then get rid of best 22 (or borderline player) who we brought through in the draft and developed for 5 or so years for a late pick.
