Bulldog need a forward/ruck to help English , instead of looking at Brisbane Martin or Majak , Wright is the perfect candidate for Bulldog. bulldog first Rd for Wright ,2 GC second.
Use pick 5 and bulldog first round to move up to pick 2 .should be enough point for their academy players .

Do what teams do when they either have 0 tall forwards or if they are injured, you work around it. Go with a different set up. (small//medium forwards)What happens next year if King and/or Day get injured?
I’ve asked this a few times and nobody has an answer.

Be glad suns have two options... Not everyone has that luxury lol
of course its not ideal, but it is what it is.Theres no way I’m going to accept a list that isn’t properly balanced. That is not a solution.
We haven't lost Wright or Corbett yet, they are still contracted gold coast players.Theres no way I’m going to accept a list that isn’t properly balanced. That is not a solution.

Even better what if the Aints poach King as they seem to think they will be and we then have neither. What happens next year if King and/or Day get injured?

We have ALOT of room in our salary cap. Would well and truly offer pick 66 (our next is 72) for Wright. Take on his whole wage and move on. We do have pick 47 but I personally would like to hold onto that. Maybe a future 3rd could do.Wright is not worth much, if the Bombers were to cover his full wage I wouldn't be asking for too much.
Then you can ask for a top 10 pick when he wants to leave in 2 yearsWe have ALOT of room in our salary cap. Would well and truly offer pick 66 (our next is 72) for Wright. I have stated twice now that I would drop this subject so I can only assume you coming back to the well is to goad me. So here we goIva, I'm a health professional who's worked at QLD Health hospitals for >10 years (and still do). The fact that you work for QLD health in some capacity doesn't change anything I've said.
Quality depth is a key to making a successful rise up the ladder.
This is it, our depth is on too much coin, which is symptomatic of us at the bottom of the ladder hoping to attract players, now we are beginning to climb it means we can attract players while not having to overpay too much.Agree, but to keep quality depth, those fringe players have to agree to accept less money because they want to be part of a winning culture.
They have to be prepared to wait for for their shot in the best 22. And we aren't quite there yet.
Our quality depth is on too much coin. Wright $500k, Fiorini $450k, Brodie $400k.
Would even be interesting to know what Lemmens, Holman, MacPherson, Hombsch, Murdoch, etc are on. I'm guessing probably 50k-75k more than they should be? It all adds up.
But I think Cameron is definitely heading in the right direction, just going to take another year or 2 of fringe guys coming out of contract and us making the right decisions on who we re-sign, who we let go and who we trade in... & players willing to accept less to stay.
Corbett can move to CHF.
Lukosius can move to CHF.
Or Sexton can play either CHF or FF.
Also Conroy and Murtagh waiting in the reserves. Both big units.
Or the break glass in emergency scenario of playing 2 ruckman (Witts & Smith) and rest a ruckman up forward.
Lots of options.
