Someone earlier said Jeffrey isn't too keen on moving to the Suns.

Will be interesting if he nominates for us. He can choose to go into the open draft if the wants.
More time he spends at the club in its current format might change his mind.
A long time until the 2020 draft.

Spot on - if he is seeing what other more touted prospects are seeing then hopefully he changes his tune.

Be stupid to throw in the towel this early.

Let Alex Davies and the other kid from our academy go to work on him during next year's champs.

I think the biggest selling point for indigenous talent coming to our club going forward will be Izak Rankine. He's already a leader among those boys and so charastmatic. Just wait until he's a star of the comp in the next couple of years and he will be our poster boy for attracting indigenous talent.

We need a Weitering type KPD or a Lachie Ash type player with our first pick. We'll get Alex Davies on the cheap so we should build up our defence.

Will Phillips & Finlay Macrae will probably be up there, very good Oakleigh Charger players who played with Rowell & Anderson this year

... With the 20-year-old midfielder set for a long-stint on the sidelines, the Suns have the ability to place Riordan on the long-term injury or inactive list and replace him with another player.

Gold Coast already have 52 players on their books, including Irishman Luke Towey and Papua New Guinea international Hewago Paul Oea, on the back of the concessions granted to the club by the AFL.

That appears to be confirmation that Ace is in fact on our AFL list and that was a concession that was granted to us by the AFL. Would be an awesome story to see Ace make his AFL debut this year but I'm not holding my breath at this stage.

makes a lot of sense why he was inducted in the launch night as part of the playing group.

Hollands out with ACL. Seeing as its likely we get a top 2 pick, who are the frontrunners now?

Don't see that it changes why we would not get him if he is head and shoulders above the next best player available to us, as he will be able to do a modified pre-season and play most of next year.

What would a top 3 pick land you in terms of a ready made key defender? Steven May type? Key defenders are in short supply in the AFL

Grainger-Barrass will be around that mark if he has a good year, not ready made though but will be a star

IF we come last
I would be open to downgrading our pick 1 for example pick 4 - DGB and pick 8 Elijah Hollands post ACL?
Any takers?

I’m not sure if there’s a club that will have the picks to make such a trade.

Sydney maybe, if they can convince Carlton to trade their first round pick in the Papley deal.

Brisbane if we totally bomb out this year, as we have our own first, and Ports.

Clubs might also be willing to trade a 2020 first for a 2021 first round pick, as 2021 is already being discussed as a stronger draft on the basis of last years U16 national carnival.
