Article in GC bulletin that one of your leading draft hopefuls can't play in the academy series due to a technicality. Behind paywall , does anyone know who it is

Players from the Northern Rivers who are involved in the Gold Coast Suns Academy won’t be able to play in Academy series games, due to begin this weekend, further interrupting their lead in to the national draft later this year.

They include Jed Foggo, a Coolangatta Blues player who is from the Northern Rivers.

He is apparently supposed to be good too, might be worth relocating him for a month, hope you can watch the games on Vimeo

On today’s episode of the Gold Coast bulletin’s heat room podcast Andrew Raines mentions they’ve named 2 players and left the paperwork with the AFLQ to workout with the government because one works in qld and one goes to school and they’re training with the squad tonight

Depending on how Rory Thompson gets up and if he can stay fit, our defense is very flimsy when the opposition can get clean entries.

I am still all aboard trying to get Corr into the mix to partner Collins as a 2nd strong bodied defender if Rory is well and truly cooked.

Herald Sun reporting that we are keen on getting Zac Williams from GWS but we've been told he is unlikely to head up to the GC.

Could we look again at Shaun Burgoyne?
you've been lapping up that Melbourne media
would only be as a coach.
Depends who we get rid of who we ideally pick up... Wouldn’t mind seeing what Jez McLennan could do as a Hanley replacement.
From watching some of the NEAFL games last year and his reserves reports this year, he has a long way to go.
Wouldn't mind seeing him at some point, but doesn't seem like an AFL quality player right now.

Burgoyne was just for this year, no chance we look at him again.

Not surprised we are interested in Williams, would be best 22 for us easily. But very unlikely to go from GWS to GC, clubs are too similar, probably wants a different type of club.
Best 22, Zac Williams would be in our best 3 players IMO

You should said the same with your favorite Adelaide brad Crouch.

He'd reunite with his old teammates too. Would be a win win.

All I seem to remember about him is that picture of letting a girl take a picture of herself with his premiership medal around her neck, topless. I feel like that was broad haha

Don't really know much about him as a player.
