Where can I find someone like this

View attachment 982348

You could have found him in my SC team in Rd18. Pity he couldn't do that back then, when he only managed 16 disp and 69 SC pts....if he got 156 then, who knows, I might have won the thing.........:'(:'(:'(

Where can I find someone like this.

a. The 30 touches
B. Efficiency over 70%

Take any good mid/winger in a strong side and put them against opposition that are playing low pressure rubbish, and hey presto!

We should know this by now, the number of times we have been a rabble on the field and padded the stats of good players.

Must be a different Markov to the player that plays for Richmond

Tough as nails and not injury prone and is a very good tackler , But extremely unlucky Richmond have Short , Houli , Baker , Vlastuin all playing in the senior team. He probably has been the victim of his own loyalty to the Richmond Football Club as he would be starting 22 in 8-10 AFL teams off half back / Wing

I rate mark williams highly as an eye for both junior and senior talent and these were his exact words 3 years ago when he was at Richmond
"He’s a player we've liked. Choco (development coach Mark Williams) at the start of the year (said he was) one of the better kids he’s seen in his time,"

And he has elite speed
Respect your opinion you have seen him play more than me.
Two years ago we recruited Miles , C Ellis , Murdoch and Horlin Smith from strong clubs expecting an upgrade to our playing list.
What we got were guys of good character but guys who were simply not quite good enough to be regular senior players.
We need players who are good enough to be consistent at senior level.
Not convinced Markov fits into that category.
I am always cautious about fringe players from other clubs.

Wright is more of a Ruck than a forward! Happily give up Wright/Brodie for Broad/Markov...We NEED a more experienced defence. And if the rumours are true throw in a 31yo Cyril Rioli and Finals 2021 here we come🤘🤘❤️💛💙
It’s not a nice feeling but for once were deciding who stays rather than begging people to not leave.

That’s gotta be a step in the right direction
I think people mean the inability to develop top 10 picks is what leaves the sour taste. Is that correct Bods?

Yeah they should be amongst the first blokes picked by now and we are potentially losing them both for probably not much.
Plus they weren’t given a crack this year so I’m not convinced at all they should go.

Probably more to do with evaluating talent and draft accordingly. Top 10 picks Ainsworth, Bowes, Lukosius, King, Rankine, Anderson, Rowell developing nicely. Scrimshaw struggled away from family but is also going fine now. FWIW, no team gets it perfect all the time. On the disappointing side we got Brodie, Wright and on the positive one Powell and Ballard. Considering how much talent we got already on the team now and even more still coming, some for free due to concessions (pick 5, Davies, Jeffrey), somebody eventually got to go. We can't pay/keep them all.

It seems that Brodie is still not able to cover the ground, the tank is still the issue. Looking forward to see how he goes when he gets opportunity somewhere else. I hope he makes it. He is very good inside and has a decent kick.

Game is moving to mobility, constant pressure, versatility more and more. It was telling when Buckley mentioned in his presser that combersome forwards (Wright could be called that) are not the future.

Hi all,

I read that you guys are looking to move pick 5 to bring in mature players to complement your young list. And not sure if you have heard but, apparently Treloar is looking to move to Queensland given his partner has recently signed with a Queensland netball team. They also have a young child, making it very difficult for Treloar to balance footy and family interstate.

In 2020, Treloar has appeared to has recovered well from his hamstring injuries, and has regained much of his burst and speed from stoppages. While Treloar's kicking is still shaky, he has somehow added elite contested ball winning ability to his arsenal. So far this season, he has accomplished the following despite the finals weighing his averages down:

(1) 2nd in AFL for Contested Possessions per game
(2) 2nd in AFL for Disposals per game
(3) 7th in AFL for Clearances per game
(4) 9th in Metres Gained per game (by position, out of all inside mids)

Although Treloar seems to be at least on par, if not easily better than Beams/Gibbs when they were traded, he probably wouldn't command 2x 1st rounder at 27.

We would probably ask for Treloar for Pick 5 + Will Brodie, which should be pretty fair when a similar player in Zac Merrett is looking to be worth pick 7 + 2021 1st due to younger age.

Is he? I haven't seen a single mention of Treloar on the move

IF he were interested in coming I’d do it in a heartbeat. Can’t see it happening but I’d do the trade.
