Someone wrote earlier our best hope is to lose every week.. finish second bottom ... (praying kangas pick up a win).. call the swans and say.. pony up or we take your academy kid Campbell.. we get a second 2nd.. go back to dogs and say we’ll give you our 2x seconds for your first.. more points for bullies to get Ugle Havana..
that’s our best shot.. we know Clarko won’t be bold enough to trade our better players... he hates losing too much..Maybe we get Hollands and O’driscoll... it’s a prayer but 2 top 10-15’s would help our situation..

Can we stop with this narrative that Clarko isn't bold...

He traded 4 time premiership players

He traded fan favourite Ryan Burton

He is bold...

Get another pick in the top 15 of this draft. Take two marking forwards.

I’m not sure there are two marking forwards in the top 15 that would be absolute first class. We’re not getting JUH, McDonald a potential, not sure if Cox is at that level, Thilthorpe is more like McEvoy IMO with endurance, but not the agility of the kings or Franklin. Who are the two forwards you think would rip the game apart n help win a cup?

Happy to go with McDonald if still on the board, if not i want Hollands, Phillips, Macrae.

He needs to show it again by not gifting Stratton games so he can reach his 200, and putting guys like Burgoyne out to pasture. He also needs to pack in this game plan.

I’m not as bullish on Macrae as others , don’t think that he has the kicking penetration of his brother, but others think he is better than his brother at the same age.

McDonald is the one forward that we should target at the high end, but I’d still rather Campbell or Hollands

Play them high. Always kick to a massive contest at HFF (on the boundary) or bomb long to opposition defenders in a 1-on-4.

Not really any point getting talented KPF.

Crows and maybe catch the Bombers or Doggies napping?

Think we have 1.5 wins in us.

North could win a couple games yet but as it stands we will probably finish third bottom.
Dogs will run us ragged. 10 goal win for them. Bombers 50/50 they haven’t looked great. Hope we beat the druggies.

Tbh I can't see us looking for a tall forward in the draft; Lewis, Patton, Jeka, Gunston, TOB, Ceglar, BB, Walker, and Nash all provide height in that space- given how poor our delivery into 50 has been I'm not sure the club is going to cast too many aspersions at them. Our midfield is the part of our structure that needs the most work.
I still think something has to give with regards to Worps, Titch, JOM, & Shiels- be it a positional mix or something else. We need pace and class.
Lewis promising if he can build off last years form, Patton to slow and can't run up the ground, Jeka needs time to develop was highly rated in is under age year, Gunston not a "tall" and getting old, TOB is lucky will have shit stocks, Ceglar and BB both old and look finished not Forwards anyway, Walker and Nash not talls.

We have 2 doubtful maybe's at this stage, a Shoey mark 2 and a fat player that can't offering anything at ground level or up the ground.

Save for mid-sized, mid-paced midfield accumulators and half back flankers, we need everything.

Marking forward and damaging / explosive midfielder most important of all.

My dream scenario would be...

Pick 3: Inside midfielder
Pick 21: Key forward/defender
Pick 40: Inside midfielder
Pick 46: Downie
Pick 59: Small forward
Pick 63: Small forward
😳 Why would we take an inside mid at 3?

Key forward all the way.

Swap Pick 3 and 21 around. McDonald or Thilthorpe at 3. Wouldn't mind a ruck somewhere as currently our stocks are diabolical.
