We need a bit of everything, so hopefully we just nail our pick whoever it is.
As long as Wright doesn't selected DGB or Tilthorpe, I'm happy.

You can almost bank it. We always want the exciting popular pick and the Hawks always takes one from left field. For us DGB seems very left field for our needs. Easy to get hyped (and so we should this year) by what’s floating around the media/BF but every year the club surprises us.as long as we don’t draft DGB with the 4th pick
Spot on , his a 3rd man up which we have plenty of. Use it on will Phillips apparently his got some speed so sounds good.

I've conceded it'll be Bruhn or Phillips. We'll now miss on the absolute cream. We need to look at the next tier. O'Driscoll may even be a bolter.
Sad timeseven worse if McDonald or Holland’s fall to 3
Yer big strong explosive mid ....good goal sense and would complement our current mids to a tee. What do you think of Perkins, Dash?

The club has a plan, can’t wait to find out. I’m still a believer this year has been a blip on the actual team we are, this pick will help.
So....picks can be badFor every success like Day (and he's proving to be a huge success), there is a Lovell and a Hartung.
The problem is it won't be pick 4. Most likely pick 7 with bids and compo for crowsOh come on lads, cheer up. Every year on this board the reputations of a few kids sky rocket, a comment by someone ITK here, a highlights package there... In the end it never works out that way.
Does Luke Jackson appear to be the cream 1 year after he went at #3? Or would you prefer Serong or Day?
We have pick 4, we'll get a gun kid.

I think Hollands will slide like Kemp did last year anyway.
Had we kicked 4 goals less we would of finished below Sydney but I wouldn't change it, it was great watching todays game, a really nice finish to the year.

I'm curious about why?As long as Wright doesn't selected DGB or Tilthorpe, I'm happy.
I think the lesson here is 'never try'.So....picks can be bad
trading can be bad
Losing is bad
Winning is bad
Surely, that's not all? Can't you think of some more things that are bad, to brighten everybody's day?

He is 192cm he will get destroyed playing key defence in the AFL.I'm curious about why?
DGB is listed as 195 and has played KPD to date - why are we convinced he can't? Looks like Lever to me, who plays on second talls?
Yes we have Sicily (and to a lesser extent Scrimshaw) as good intercept defenders, but if he can take the KPF's then why wouldn't we want three excellent interceptors?
Tilthorpe is a tall, quick KPF/Ruck with excellent ability, can't think of too many bigger needs for us.
This really is the worst case scenario. While our win against Gold Coast was great viewing it likely means we won’t have access to Hollands even if he slides slightly. We’d be hoping that a) Adelaide do not get Pick 2 for Crouch and b) North Melbourne rates Campbell high enough to bid on him. Unfortunately, I think these things will go against us.
You could shuffle around the first few selections but I think McDonald, Thilthorpe & Hollands will likely all be unavailable. Sydney’s Pick 5 will determine who's available for the next tier (I'm guessing Phillips or Barass).
Assuming the ‘worst case’ scenario:
Pick 1 (Adelaide): Riley Thilthorpe
Pick 2 (Adelaide Crouch compensation): Elijah Hollands
Pick 3 (WB matched bid): Jamarra Ugle-Hagan
Pick 4 (North Melbourne): Logan McDonald
Pick 5 (Sydney): Denver Grainger-Barrass
Pick 6 (Sydney matched bid): Braeden Campbell
Pick 7 (Hawthorn): One of Will Phillips, Tanner Bruhn, Oliver Henry, Archie Perkins, Nikolas Cox, Nathan O’Driscoll
I think the lesson here is 'never try'.
I think it's pretty obvious tbh- we've had posters on the board complaining about everything all year. We lose games? Complaints about players being bad, coach and gameplan being bad, club culture being badWhat are you on about now?
Lot of complaining there...I think it's pretty obvious tbh- we've had posters on the board complaining about everything all year. We lose games? Complaints about players being bad, coach and gameplan being bad, club culture being bad
We win games? It isn't something we should take joy from cause oppo is bad, now suddenly our draft hand is bad, and our gameplan is still bad.
A Lot of whinging on this board and a lot of people who only want to stick the boot in under the guise of "realism".
How is that a poor take?Complete different situation, that is a poor take
Dropping a spot we may now be more attracted to the idea of trading the pick for two later first round pick. Guess it depends on whether we think a guy we rate top 3 could get to us or whether it’s as clear as the internet pundits seem to suggest (ie. JUH, McDonald, Hollands, Thilthorp, Campbell gone). If it’s the latter, might be worth doubling our chances and splitting the pick.I've conceded it'll be Bruhn or Phillips. We'll now miss on the absolute cream. We need to look at the next tier. O'Driscoll may even be a bolter.
