If crows want a mid to replace brad crouch then they would take Phillips at 1 over Holland’s

Hagdorn is either pretty good or pretty bad - I forget:grimacing:. Vlahos as really good.
Doesn't mean that this particular bit of info is correct of course, but the WA guys generally aren't crazy like your Tom Browne types.
Just my opinion Brant but Hagdorn used to act like he wanted to be a big Victorian reporter who just sprouted shite.
As time went on he became a little more reliable & doesn’t get much wrong nowadays.

My issue with his comment though is why would Syd let everyone know who they plan on picking with their 1st pick ?

Vlahos is a good reliable reporter who doesn’t chase the headline story

I mean it’s pretty likely DGB isn’t going top 2 and swans have pick 3 so they’ll probably have first dibs on him anyway

Mitchell, Worpel and JOM with Maginess, Jones and Cousins in reserve is more than enough. Those first three should be good enough, we sure pay them as if they are.
On paper it’s good but in practice, not so good. I think Phillips will be a superstar, he can play inside and outside. Adding Phillips to worpel and Mitchel is something I’d want to do.

Unfortunately I don’t think JOM will ever be the player we thought he’d be, should be pushed to the wing or HF where he can find more time and space.

I don't disagree, but JOM got the most clearances for us - over Mitchell and Worpel so it seems the club has realised that's where he's going to be strongest going forward.

On paper sure but it doesn’t translate to games, are you happy relying on finn who has played one game of afl, Jones who has played 1 game...

Did you watch our midfield last year? I wouldn't be worried about what we need at the minute. Only thing we need is best available.

Noted above already. The other thing I will say is I find the lack of criticism of Scott Burns' coaching to be bizarre. The one thing we should be able to do is win clearances, and he somehow had us in a huge defecit. Sure, part of this is down to Ceglar's inability to ruck/ give away constant frees, but I still feel like he got out relatively unscathed given Clarkson was seen on camera at a quarter time break re-writing Burns' entire stoppage set-ups.

Can't imagine clubs trading in future late picks expect to use them. especially if list numbers get cut more next year - although if lots of clubs dont use picks for the same reason, late picks may drift earlier

100% and our forward line was completely dysfunctional the two years he was in charge of it. Was stoked when it was announced he was leaving.

Bruhn for me , Henry is a massive reach at 4
Understandable. Henry is projected to go around 7 so not massive reach but probably a little early. What he showed as an under age player gives me the impression he has a very high ceiling. I’m a bit on my own on that one though.

Yeah the Day pick last year has me feeling we might go for Henry. Upside and X factor.

Thought you guys might be interested to know about this

though I can't vouch for how reliable Hagdorn is.
"Hagdorn" sounds like Hawthorn tried to come up with a fake name for themselves at the last second.

If Thilthorpe is there when it’s our pick, we will snap him up.
Hope not, has some ability but hasn’t played well against adults and he hasn’t really got the skills to be a gun forward and isn’t tall enough to be a dominant ruck. There will be better players on the board at 4.
