I still think we'll try and move up for either Pick 1 or 2. But if we don't, maybe;

Pick 6: Archie Perkins
Pick 7: Traded to Collingwood for Pick 14 + 2021 First Round Pick
Pick 8: Zach Reid
Pick 14: Finlay Macrae
Pick 35: Josh Eyre (Matched)
Pick 39: Cody Brand (Matched)

Assuming no trades:
Pick 6 - bid Lachie Jones (matched)
Pick 7 - Archie Perkins
Pick 8 - Zach Reid
Pick 9 - Tanner Bruhn
Later picks match for Brand and Eyre

With trades:
Pick 6 - bid Lachie Jones (matched)
Pick 7 - Archie Perkins
Pick 8 - trade with pies for 16 and future 1st
Pick 9 - Zach Reid after pies take Cox
Pick 16 - Caleb Poulter

Pick 6: Archie Perkins
Pick 7: Traded to Collingwood for Pick 14 + 2021 First Round Pick
Pick 9: Lachie Jone (Port)
Pick 10: Cox
Pick 11-15 bid for McInnes
Pick 16: Nathan ODriscoll
Pick 37: Josh Eyre (Matched)
Pick 33: Cody Brand (Matched)

6. Will Phillips - Slips due to Archie Perkins going to Hawthorn, can't wait to hear people whine about him being under 6'0".
7. Nik Cox - The things we lack; marking in the midfield (tick) and good kicks into the forward line (tick).
- Trade pick 8 to Collingwood because of the implication -
14. Jackson Callow - The idea of him going to Richmond and giving them ANOTHER elite Tasmanian forward sickens me. This pick is emotional protection.
18. Josh Clarke - Feels like a good McKenna and Saad replacement to start, however he's got something about him that makes me think he could be an elite player.
34. Eyre bid match
43. Brand bid match

Big yes to the Always Sunny references, Big no to the picks

Fantastic Five will go in the top 5.

6. Perkins
7. Cox

For 8, two things can happen.

8. Reid

Or

14. O'Driscoll
16. Laurie

Knowing Dodoro, I am going with the former.

Then...

38. Brand (44 will become 38)
60. Eyre (77 will become a 60s pick)

Pick 6: Thilthorpe available but Adelaide phone and we accept a trade for their Pick 9 and future 2nd
Pick 7: McInnes available but Collingwood phone and we accept a trade for Picks 16 & their future 1st
Pick 8: Perkins
Pick 9: Cox
Pick 16: one of Henry / McCrae / O'Driscoll
(in that order but depending on whose still available)
Pick 34: Eyre match
Pick 43: Brand match

DFA with last pick

My guess:

6. Perkins.
7. Cox.

And then trade 8 and future 3rd to Collingwood for 14 and 16.

14. Macrae.
16. I seriously don't know. Ford, maybe?

And then Brand and Eyre.

I'm guessing if Collingwood trade up for 8, they take Zach Reid. I haven't seen some players like O'Driscoll. I know he played for Team Dal Santo, but I really didn't notice him in that game (although, come to think of it, Perkins didn't do much either). I rather like Phillips, and if Hawthorn and Gold Coast pass on him, then I can't see us passing on him.

I was wondering about this very notion yday.

If we bid, collingwood has a chance to trade before opting to match.
Can we trade them the pick we bid with, thus undoing the bid?

Wonder if the AFL has considered this?
And if they can, what would the AFL make of us then taking our next 2 picks without a bid on McInnes....
