We probably needed the Suns Pick 5 to have a Shot at Phillips thought he could been done by then anyway
If we somehow ended up with three picks in top 20, or two and knowing we've got 2021 first up our sleeve, I'd be happy to do a two for one with GC to get that pick 5

As long as we get Will Phillips I don't care if we draft the next Schache 😎
And if we don’t, you’ll suggest we trade him in alongside [PLAYERCARD]Jack Billings[/PLAYERCARD] for the next 20 years.

Not sure how an article talking up one of our academy kids is sniping us.
I get what he was trying to say. Talking up our academy player so he gets noticed more and a club will force us to our first pick. It looks positive but bad for us.

Come on, a club isn’t going to force us to bid because a couple of articles have popped up. Reef was noticed last year when he played dw about that.

Pretty unlikely that recruiting teams are basing the order of their picks on newspaper articles.

Yeah I agree as they have way more knowledge of where the draftees are at. I’ve just never seen Ralph write a Collingwood positive article before :drunk:

With talk of us interested in Max Pescud, here is some info. Its all gonna depend on who the suns pre-list before the draft.

Max Pescud
Gold Coast Suns Academy / Surfers Paradise, QAFL
Height: 183cm
Weight: 70kg
13/04/02
Medium forward who has made the most of being able to play football this year without many restrictions and gone from strength to strength with his development. After averaging 18.5 disposals in four games in the NAB League last year for the Gold Coast Suns Academy ( kicking four goals vs the GWV Rebels) he has shown in two games for the Suns against the Lions Academy averaging 22.5 disposals, 5.5 marks and five tackles to really catch the eye of scouts. Making the most of whatever opportunity presented in 2020, he kicked six goals at senior level in a match for Surfers Paradise in difficult conditions again showing his prowess up forward with his marking and speed his weapons. This month he was an athletic star at the National Combine in Queensland with his 6 minutes 36 seconds for the 2km, 83cm for the running Vertical jump and 2.96 seconds for 20 metres all strong performances

Every club is aware of what's going on without the media involvement. Not so sure the media realise that.

Really?????
Collingwood struggling to land a top academy prospect is not sniping the club???
