Injury history? Are you confusing Callow with Baldwin?
Reid was a stick when drafted and filled out well. Kelly seems to be filling out slowly but surely too. I’m not sure Stevo is a good example to use if his rumoured aversion to the weights room is true. Hard to build up your body when you don’t lift at all. Both of those players were significantly bigger bodied even when young. Cox does fit the Hine narrative of built like a stick insect type.

For comparisons. Pies dont have a great history of turning these guys around...WHE STEPHO FRASER Richards etc.

Yep that’s Baldwin. Hasn’t played for two years because he ruptured his right ACL twice. Talent wise he’s on another level to Callie, but that knee is a big worry. Was baldwin the one with a knee? My bad thought it was callow.

At Collingwood we like to turn our forwards in to defenders (Moore, Reid) and our defenders in to forwards (Checkers, Kelly). None of this bullshit, playing guys where they’re most naturally suited to!Well you know that’s just a backup plan if he doesn’t make it as a forward![]()
you just made it a certainty that we'll draft himYep that’s Baldwin. Hasn’t played for two years because he ruptured his right ACL twice. Talent wise he’s on another level to Callie, but that knee is a big worry.
When was the last time we drafted someone with knee issues? Don’t say Scharenberg, because that was a foot issue. His knees went after his feet were fixed.you just made it a certainty that we'll draft him
Taz + Reid - although stacking too much bulk on a skinny frame may have played a role in his body collapsing.
I was talking generally - players we've taken risks on recently where it didn't work out:When was the last time we drafted someone with knee issues? Don’t say Scharenberg, because that was a foot issue. His knees went after his feet were fixed.
Apparently, the experts say he doesn't have any upside, lol, never heard of such sh*t. The bloke was playing seniors this year and played really well. He is the best mark for his age that i have seen for ages, very nice kick and effective at ground level. Hope we take a risk on him

Don’t know about Checkers. Kelly played briefly forward in his draft year and struggled before thriving in defence for the rest of the year. He went from being a late/rookie prospect to a second rounder off the back of his work in defence. He’s a natural in the position, apparently reads the play and intercepts really well, so I have no idea why we’re trying to turn him in to a forward tbh.Didn't Checkers play forward before he went back for a year in 2017 at Port?
If I recall correctly Kelly also played forward in juniors before going back his U18 year?

Cox, Ford, Reef and Callow would be a great haul....I've been bullish on Ford for a while now. He does replace Stevo and then some, maybe doesn't have the speed/endurance ratio but he's a tackling machine and a willing worker both ways.
I’d be really happy with this also. Perkins could be interchangeable with Ford but those highlights of Ford are pretty impressive.
I’m sensing we thought there were plenty of Stevo replacements in this draft along the lines of these guys and they could slot straight in.

PMbangers on the draft board just made an interesting suggestion of our 2021 first and pick 16 for GC’s 5, 27 and 37. I like that suggestion tbh. Gives us a real shot at Thilthorpe or Phillips and gives us more than sufficient points for Reef, and likely a pick to take Callow with.I can already imagine a club like GWS trading 2 of their picks for the lick were eyeing off. And it's gonna hurt.

It depends on what GC’s plans are, but at this point they need to shed players, not recruit lots, and they already have any Academy players they want for free. Trading in to next years draft would be far more beneficial for them than taking a bunch to this years.I can't see us getting all 3 of those picks unfortunately.
But that would be the dream.
Phillips![]()
Probably under rating 5 there personally but that's a decent skeleton for a trade imo, they won't use 27 and 37, and the points end up being more than 16 so that trade alone is fair enoughPMbangers on the draft board just made an interesting suggestion of our 2021 first and pick 16 for GC’s 5, 27 and 37.
