GWS have NGAs coming out of their ears every year. I can't see them bidding on anyone's players unless they've done it to them in the past. Yes they bid on Quaynor, and we thought it was early, but in hindsight maybe it wasn't.

Essendon would be silly not to use 6 and 7 and then trade 8 for something next year. They've got Eye and Brand and, although they have handed out bids like Oprah in the past, I doubt they will want to encourage anyone to return the favour this year.

I really need to compile a list of bids in previous years and keep an eye on revenge bids! For example there's no way we bid on anyone this year, in hopes they let Daicos slide a little (like Green did).

I think he measured in at 87 at the combine. He’s put on a bit this year, which is promising. 5-6kg in 12 months is impressive. If he does that again he’s 93-94kgs and ready to play some regular senior footy by year 2.

We could use some more Key defenders, get the right one and Moore forward could add some additional flexibility. I do like what he is producing down back, just saying he could be pretty damaging forward also.

I would say we need a key defender more than we need a key forward. With Roughead retiring, we literally have no full back's coming through except for Keane, who I see more as a CHB.

Callow has a bit of the Tom Boyd's about him, physically larger than other 17-18 year olds.. not sure his ability will necessarily translate to AFL level.

When you're already 96kg you really need to be tearing games apart.
Always take the the skinny guy who's still growing and can put on 10-15kg.

If Cox is the best available tall, we take him, as we need talls at both ends. Whether or not he’s a forward should be irrelevant under the circumstances. GWS are the team to watch in terms of pick trades:

They currently hold the following picks: 10, 13, 15, 20, 29, 52, 74, 88

Without knowing how many they've cut, they might only use a couple of picks in the draft. Depending on how they rate the respective drafts, they'll either be looking to move up in this draft or to get in future picks.

They've lost 8 players but added Hogan and Pruess. My guess is that they struggle to use any more than 4 of their picks.

If we end up with 3x 1st round picks and have to use 1 of them to match a bid for McInnes then so be it, we'd likely still end up with 3x 1st round players.
