What do people think of Zach Reid as He not Mentioned on here much at All.

Sounds Simmlar to Cox with being Skinny but Very Good Skills.

Would people happy to Pick him IF Available?

Highlights didn't impress me as much as Cox. Both skinny talls who didn't look to be as high risk as most skinny talls are, as they have the skills, pace and agility to potentially play flanks or wing if they stay too light for KPP, but Cox looked more likely to succeed as a flanker and also looked to hit aerial contests harder - despite being even skinnier, so I'd be more hopeful of his KPP potential as well. Only highlights videos, so who knows, but Cox was the one that excited me - thought he looked awesome in that earlier video.

Weirdly, he kicked a set shot on both feet... Why would you kick a set shot from your non-preferred foot? And it wasn't even to improve the angle...

Loved the highlights though, would be very happy with Cox.

I noticed that a couple of months ago when his highlights were posted. I think he’s a true ambidextrous tbh, even he doesn’t know which foot he prefers.

Cox was on the news the other night. Says he has put on 8 kgs this year.

Im keen, but reckon we would need a top 12 pick minimum.

Would like a minimum of 3 of Cox, Reid, Reef, Cook, Perkins.

Last I heard he put on 5 kilo, don't tell me has grown 6 inches also otherwise we might have another Murphy in our side. However, if he has put on 8 kilos then his stocks would rise considerably

Finlay Macrae would be my #1 non-KPP choice at our 1st pick.

Just sound a well rounded midfielder with quality footskills and evasion around contests. Closest player to Pendles/Bont imo. Most drafts seem to have him in the 11-20 range so we could be right in the mix.

He could well have put on 8kg since last year. The 5kgs increase was between preseason measurements in Feb/March and the combine I think, so it’s not completely out of the realms of possibility that he’s put on that much since last season.

Kennedy, Broomhead and Sier are harsh calls, they were in really shallow drafts, where not much was available by that pick.

Freeman and Shaz may have just been unlucky with injuries. No idea with Freeman, but I have a different view to most on Shaz and think he was a pretty middle of the road talent anyway.

The point is the magic around Hine has well and truly worn off.

Stepho's talent doesn't matter when the club is forced to trade him for peanuts after 3 years because he's a nutjob off the field, that's on the recruiters, and mostly Hine's head. He needs a hit because his record in recent times is far from impressive.

Disagree. Recruiters pick them. Coaches develop them.

Coaches talked him up continuously for two years. Even after the betting stuff up, we heard continuously what a great kid he is and how hard he was working to get himself right for finals. If he's become arrogant and slack, coaches misread his personality over pumped his tyres and mismanaged him, contributing to his poor development.

But I'm betting on him turning it around and becoming a star, vindicating Hines selection, whichever way you look at it.

I keep mentioning him. Love the kid. As I said earlier in the thread, if you've got a 200cm player who uses the ball well out of defence with good composure, what's not to love? He's still raw and has areas to build upon, but the stuff that his role is often not great at, he has down pact. Honestly I'd be thrilled to pick him up.

Unfortunately there's no live trading so I'm stuck with the shit house hand that the real Magpies gave us, so I'll have 14, 16 and some peanuts in the back-end.

The AFL will want top 10 and first round picks swapped for the atmosphere so they will ask to halt the breaks on any trades of that nature until the night IMO.
