Edging closer to the Pies' quick three in succession. I've just got a short list of about 21 players (so not super short) at this stage who are worth drafting for us. Obviously will fill a need with the height, but also look for best available and someone who can hit targets.

Yeah the one benefit of not a top-heavy draft is after about Pick 20 it's pretty even for the rest, so there's players still around that could go second round and it's a balance between best available and needs.Glad it's you and not me. I'm nearly out of names

C4 tends to have good mail, but I can’t even really follow the conversation on what’s happening there. We trade our 2021 first for what? It would want to be a pretty compelling trade for us to be getting involved to help a rival out.
If it was your kid up for drafting, and you had seen the way Collingwood operate, you’d be praying that Carlton take your boy.

Yeah the Port link involving our future first seems odd. They only have 35,47,57,59 as their top 4 picks.
Pick 35 (522 points), 47 (316 points), 57 (182), 59 (158). Total of 1178 points.
1178 is the equivalent in points to be about pick 14. Maybe this could be our back up option to get enough Reef points if the bid comes after 16.

Finally we're up in the BigFooty Phantom Draft.
The first of three picks I've gone Tariek Newchurch who is simply too good to ignore at that selection. In terms of upside, he has the most of anyone left and is freakish around goals. A smaller mid/forward around that 181cm but insane evasion and goal sense.
The tall is coming, but it is more tactical knowing which coaches are either side of me with picks in between. Confident the other player filling more of a need makes the next pick. Then will go another player with higher upside for the last pick.
We are doing one round of rookie picks too which is handy.

A consideration, but more of a rookie pick. Consistent WAFL forward, but the concern is he would get found out at AFL level because he's more of that old school forward (hence why despite his numbers he still gets overlooked). A chance, but as we've seen in past seasons, hard for him to do much more than he's doing.
