Probably a good thing - it feels like we’d fire-sale everything we can lay our hands on right now.

The clincher will be selling off next year’s first round pick for something in the teens this year, only to finish bottom four next year.

If pick 8 ends up at pick 11 you are getting the 11 player picked and if everyone nails their picks (which they wont) the 11th best player. The 8th best player available doesnt mean much in my opinion. Theres every chance our pick will be in the top 10 next year and a lot of other clubs would be thinking the same after we lost 3 solid players and some of our other guns like Pendlebury and Sidebottom reaching the end of their careers. Maybe someone would be willing to gamble a top 10 pick on our future 1st in a draft that is less compromised and with more talent. If we trade our future 1st for pick 13 which will end up pick 16-18 and we crash and burn next year the laughter from other clubs will be in our ears for all of next summer.
Yes yes Daicos will be a high pick next year....... but we could do so much better the a late 1st pick for our future 1st.

That Age phantom makes for some really nice reading. Looking forward to what we can manufacture tomorrow night, and fingers crossed the Reef bid does slide.

Personally I hope we don't bypass Finlay Macrae at one of our picks, would really like to inject him into our line-up if at all possible
 
I wonder what 21 and 23 from Melbourne would require with us involving our future 1st.
