Passed on that last pick.

Great night IMO, Poulter on the cheap a favourite, Henry and Macrae getting through to us a great result

Two picks tomorrow? Or maybe only one? Will we leave a spot open in 2021 mid-season draft, or rely on having a long term injury to perhaps cover by then?

We’d be very confident in our ability to have an LTI by mid year

We're officially done with our pass.

Onto tomorrow with maybe one pick in the rookie draft.

This is the most active I've ever seen us on draft day and I'm going to be hitting the sack pretty happy with our haul while still maintaining a pretty solid position points-wise for the 2021 draft.

If Daicos ends up getting a bid at pick 5 for example then we'd also still have enough points to match a bid in the early 30's on Dib, if he ends up being rated that high and we want to add him.

It is also entirely possible that we go into the 2021 draft planning to only grab Daicos as part of our overall list management strategy for 2021-2022 (with Keane and Noble being mandatory rookie upgrades to help fill our ND pick quota).

We needed to be Active after so many Drafts we had Lately where we just had Late Picks

God I hope he's still there by the time our first pick rolls around. What's the order for the picks?

Would you go with Callow or Baldwin if boh were there with our first rookie pick?

Back on topic, the rookie draft order is the standard reverse ladder finish order, so we're pick 13 in the rookie draft.

I also suspect there won't be anywhere near as much action in the rookie draft this time around the list and TPP cuts as well as clubs perhaps wanting to save a rookie spot or two so that they can have a longer look at one or two prospects over the preseason, so our first pick may come in a little.

I'm not as high as most on how our night has played out.
Gambled away our 2021 first.
Drafted one key forward who was a bit of a surprise at the selection, with Daicos next year its unlikely we will draft a highly rated one in 2021 so again our stocks will be paper thin for foreseeable future unless we pull off a trade/FA signing.
Henry seems to be the type of player that usually goes around 30, just my view could easily be misjudging his talent I will admit.
I liked the Macrae pick.
Least we got 3 first rounders in.

With clubs being able to directly rookie delisted senior players this year, it makes it harder for us if we were interested in Callow.

Not really, it would in theory make it easier to pick up a rookie in the draft as a smaller number of clubs will have available Cat A rookie spots they need (or want) to fill.

We have I think four rookie spots available, so we'll take at least one, maybe two. Wouldn't surprise me to keep a couple free.

Callow or Baldwin are good selections.

We only have two Cat A rookie spots left (max of 4 in 2021) -

Keane and Noble will remain as rookies for 2021 now that we've taken 6 players in the national draft.

Edit: we've got room for 4 more Cat A rookies - thanks for the correction Pragmatic Shill

Pretty sure we now have 36 seniors thanks to the draft tonight, along with 2 Cat As (Noble and Keane) and 2 Cat Bs (Tohill and Wilson). We can still take 4 more Cat As to make it 44 players on the list, which is the maximum.
