Actually, you're right, we wouldn't have gotten more back in trade for pick 1, but we may very well have been able to not use the first rounder and instead use our remaining second rounder to get back into the draft where we ended up getting back in.How so?

My understanding is that Callow has more exposed form than a lot of top end boys - he jsut doesn't have the same physical abilities.Both appear worthy indeed but hardly have the exposed form of the top end boys so we are left to 'take a punt on talls'.
Based on that photo;
McMahon 196cm
Henry 194cm
McIness 193cm
Macrae 187cm
Probably not, might be because he’s closer to the camera. Dunno.Don’t think Henry is that tall?
We have four spots open. Not sure we take that many though.How many selections are we making in the rookie draft?

Implication was we have had 6 bad drafts since our last good one. That is the narrative. I think last night was hopefully the conclusion of the damage to our list and some of our picks outperform their draft position. Then we will be in better shape. Our list for the future has an unknown element given such a big chunk has hardly played but 2020 is a disaster unless Hine has weaved some magic and outperformed the other recruiters
I just said based on the photo. I’m not standing next to them with a measuring tape.Henry is supposed to be 188cm?

Next year, we'll miss Treloar, unless Sier comes good. No kid is going to come in and give close to what Treloar gave. With no having a fair swag of young mids, hopefully one comes through pretty quickly though.I suspect we will badly miss Stevo given his freakish ability and our indifferent forward line. At least until his next off field incident and then we will be saying we are glad we got rid of him.
But I reckon won’t even notice the absence of Treloar and Phillips with new blood ready to step up.
