With the significant list reductions, any chance the AFL will relax the minimum 3 picks for this year’s draft?

Saints for example only have 1 pick in the first 60, they may consider their current 36th and 37th players to be better options than late picks this year.

Could make for a short draft.

Time to start supporting Carlton and Freo to cause upsets this weekend. GWS percentage taken a big hit against the saints, could get that pick even lower yet.

Update: Freo probably doesn't matter because of points deficit right? I don't know how all that bit works.
Hoping Melbourne lose. If they do Bulldogs have qualified for the 8 and may not try as hard against Freo as the result will be inconsequential to wb. The main benefit for them will be to get ahead of Collingwood if they lose against Powaa and avoid west coast at home.

So with Freo's point deficit, we are either getting pick 8 or 7 from GWS. Only hurdle is if Carlton wins against Brisbane (highly unlikely)

How am I counting this wrong. We need WB and/or BL to lose, otherwise we get pick 9 right? Why are people saying worst case is 8?
