Agree with on Marsh & White was suprised they were let go at the time.

Funny also have a confidence in Clavarino ankle injury came at worst time , think we are looking
at options coming out of contract next year too.

I couldn't get over how many people had the hots for White.
He was a decent kick , but he was a 188cm defender who couldn't get the ball enough to do anything with it.
If people think Webster is not up to it, they can't possibly think that White was.

Marshall is our version of the mountain
We actually do have a GOT team (for all our thrones fans) :
RYDER is Hodor he really holds the door to our mids,
HILL is the dragon Viserion he really flies but can go ice cold,
GRESH is Oberyn Martell has the moves but tries too much,
HIGGINS is Jaqhen H'Ghar hes a nobody but can also be anyone,
ROSS is Petyr Baelish he looks like he's playing for both sides at times,
DUNSTAN is Bran Stark, really got thrown out the window after season 1,
ROBBO is Olenna Tyrell he's had his moments arguably the pinaccle at times but unfortunate events have poisoned his curve,
WEBSTER is MargaeryTyrell good servant and we all love him because he looks the goods and he does what's needed but probably used and abused now,
BATTLE is Bronn, he's a flexible utility basically our version of a sell sword Mr fix it,
CROUCH is the Hound, has the potential but is like playing with fire,
HANNERS is Beric Dondarrion he IS playing with fire and has also died a couple times but keeps coming back,
BUTLER is Nymeria the only survivor and our lone dire wolf,
KENT is the direwolf grey wind runs fast but ends up doing SFA,
LONIE is the direwolf shaggy dog for obvious reasons,
MEMBREY is Tormund Giantsbane hes an undersized giant and likes hunting. Hes a bit of a ginger and is from a town that's beyond the wall
LONG is Khal Drogo, he runs with the spirit of a whole army and would be the last person you'd want to face in an open field,
HUNTER is both Unsullied and Tywin Lannister he's lethal and uses his time and strategies perfectly,
COFFIELD is Danaerys Targaryen he has the slow arc that drastically builds season by season,
PATON is Ramsey Bolton he tortures the opposition's small forwards normally holding them "ball less"
WINX is Arya Stark because he can defeat the undead,
BILLINGS is Jon Snow, we all love him but he's also already died a couple times,
SINCLAIR is ygritte, he only got in because of Jon Snow,
GEARY is Tyrion Lannister he has the knowledge and is good in a position of power but shouldn't really be our leader and is probably too small to be effective,
CARLISLE is Samwell Tarly has a massive frame but gets walked all over,
RICHO was Joffrey Baratheon shouldn't really have been in charge was poison in the end but served a purpose,
RATTS is Jorah Mormont, was outcasted and has endured his life changing ordeals but is willing to die for our team,
Finally JACK STEELE is Jamie Lannister (pre hand chop) he's our king slayer and Knight in Gold Armour.

Makes Richo seem way to interesting. He's more like one of the sets, he was there the whole time but you hardly noticed him.

Your opinion have different one with Brandon , a lot of games I saw he got a fair bit of the ball.
Hawthorn were all over him early in his career , wouldn’t be the 1st talented footballer to slip
through the cracks , I know because recruited a number of them .

In the end Brandon wasn’t that hungry to be an AFL footballer which is fair enough, in fact would say
large number of guys I know turned their back on AFL because whilst they loved the game it was
just that a game , they wanted other things in their lives ,other training multiple days and the continued
grind of meetings day after day.

Mate GOT is the greatest show of all time...and I was gonna do an U/18 mock draft comparing players to Simpsons characters guess that's a no go now too

At least it would be on topic.

I can't wait to see who you pick for Rainbow Dash:rainbow: and Apple Bloom🍎🌻
🤩 😍
Are you a Brony??

Got to be one of the more interesting drafts of recent years. It is said it isn't that strong. But with the players struggling to show their wares this year it is surely hard to tell.

There are always sliders. And those that don't fulfil their early potential. Pity we don't have more picks, but it would be good if we know of a couple of good players that just haven't been exposed much. Mega-sliders! This would be the year for it. Maybe we have the inside on a player that most others overlook.

A future superstar still lurking for one of our later picks. I can always dream.

But it isn't outside the bounds of possibility.

Of all the years, this would be the one for Libba to walk down the corridor and have a quiet chat or two with the Sandringham Dragons.....

Yep, exactly the year you want to have an ear to the ground from inside the clubs.

It’s a mock only. Thoughts from those in the know?

27. St Kilda – Zavier Maher (Murray Bushrangers/Vic Country)

Midfielder, 184cm, 82kg

Dan says: After losing out to the Bombers for Jye Caldwell, Maher brings similar qualities to the engine room. A powerful midfielder with a burst of speed who can add something different to St Kilda’s midfield mix.

We got one already..

I swear to God the draft nuffies simply don't look at our list before they do their mock drafts.
One of them reckons we need another medium HBF FFS..

DRAFT ANALYSIS: “As consistent as they come, Byrnes is a hard-nosed and tireless small midfielder made of leadership material.”
YOU would be hard-pressed to find many more consistent Under-18 players in 2019 than Sandringham Dragons skipper, Ryan Byrnes. The competitive midfielder held his own in the star-studded Dragons midfield early on, before taking over to become the number one ball winner and earn a sole Vic Metro outing. He averaged 25.4 disposals across 15 NAB League outings after averaging a tick over 20 in his 12 bottom-age games, while also helping school side St Bede’s to its first ever Herald Sun Shield title. Importantly, he was the one to stand up across what was a disappointing finals series for Sandringham, not wavering from his usual output and displaying outstanding on-field leadership to cap off a great year. He may not have the eye-catching traits of some of his Sandringham and Vic Metro teammates, but Byrnes has quality in so many aspects and will provide great value for any team looking for a safe bet after the second round.
STRENGTHS:
Accumulation
Consistency
Five-step burst
Work rate
Dual-sided
Leadership

True, but he’s not locked yet and I wouldn’t call him quick. Point taken, but we do need someone!

Just out of curiosity, would in the future teams be able to take players on loan with a draft pick coming to the loanee as well?
Will use us as an example because a higher draft pick would be good this draft.
Imagine if we came to an agreement with Adelaide who probably won’t use all their draft picks, they want Josh Worrell to get AFL experience but are struggling to fit him in because of senior players, we need **defenders, so we promise to play him for a season & we get their pick 40 as well as Worrell
Could/would this be feasible in the future?

**hypothetical example

See Melbourne Storm loaned out Harry Grant for last season but that was just a swap of players.

I tend to think with AFL being a high IP type of game, that it's unlikely clubs will want a spy in their midst, and with our longer player development timeframes, they'd see it as taking games off one of their own prospects.

I hope it doesn't happen tbh.
The more we copy stuff from other sports, the less we keep what makes the AFL Australian.

At what stage of the draft are teams likely to start passing on picks?
Looks like 3rd round, possibly late second as the earliest.

Live trading excess picks into 2021 is gonna be the hot business of draft night. There will hopefully be some bargains to be had..
