it appears 17 other clubs agree with you
Not sure how you've come to that conclusion haha

let's compare the pair:
Player 1: wasnt even taken in his senior draft or rookie draft and slid all the way out to the mid season draft, who was then delisted and could have been picked up for nothing by 17 other clubs, but wasn't
Player 2: taken at pick 26

is it really that much of a stretch to suggest player 2 is ranked higher?
You must have been dead wrong then because you were over the moon about us picking Mayo up. It's as if you know the reasons around why we delisted him. ACL is a cheap excuse, players come back from ACL's all the time and we've drafted players with prior ACL's so I don't see how that is a reason. Why would you not want to persist with a 19 year old kid who had in your eyes plenty of potential?

All you base your opinion on Allison on is that he was pick 26...what have you seen from him to suggest he is a good pick or better yet why you think we did the right thing? It's a matter of opinion, just because the club rated him doesn't count for much - you yourself have been critical of our selections in previous years so not sure why you back the club this time around?

I'm not really even talking about talent of either Mayo or Allison, I'm saying we had a player already on our list with (as you said) plenty of potential so why wouldn't we persist with it given he is only 19...do all players who do their ACL's at a young age have their careers ended? No...so why we delist a guy and pick one up that both play CHF is beyond me.

i think the point is obvious, but i doubt anyone wants to continue to read this utter tripe.

time to move on!

They seem to enjoy stressing us out by never adding to our future midfield depth

Our list is so good now we going for project wingers!

Did somebody say plays like Jack Newnes?

Allison, who is related to North Melbourne premiership player Brett Allison, is a North Melbourne supporter.

And it’s a former North forward who he moulds his game off.

Drew Petrie is someone who I kept a close eye on,” he said.

“Also Nick Riewoldt…. The reason why I sort of model my game on those two, is just the work rate and being able to get up the ground.

“Both those guys had elite endurance… It’s one of my biggest assets I pride myself on and something that I really have been working on as well.”

Get around him.

if he turns out to be half the player nick was, we've jagged an absolute jem and will compliment the list beautifully.

Just wanted to hear why you changed your tune so suddenly, that's all.

I hope Allison turns out to be a great player for us. Maybe he is a really talented kid. Who knows.

I just think we would've been better placed to draft a midfielder with our first. Irrespective of what the club thinks.

The club obviously knows a lot more than any of us but geewhiz I'm just shocked it was a bit of a no-namer. No highlights package anywhere, the hosts don't know a single thing about him, no stats to show or even a conversation about the kid. FMD hahah - 2 hours for not a single gee up about our new recruit? :tearsofjoy:
We’d well and truly heard about him though.
