Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
they did have a lot of money tied up with Dayne Beams which they won't have to worry about next year? They just signed Grundy to 1 mill per year for the next century.
Degoey is going to cost them min 600-700 a year.
Moore min700 a year.
Unless I am missing something with a reduced cap next year how do they then fit Gunstons 650 a year in unless Moore or Degoey are leaving?????
Nothing about bringing in Gunston and then signing Moore and Degoey makes any sense to me.
I smell a rat.
Yep but clearing TOB who is a different type of player for brown while we still have patton does not make any sense.I don't want Brown anywhere near the club.
But Brown is ten times the player TOB is.
TOB can play more than 1 role and can put in a second effort when it hits the groundYep but clearing TOB who is a different type of player for brown while we still have patton does not make any sense.

Ben Brown moves like Groot.TOB can play more than 1 role and can put in a second effort when it hits the ground
Can't deal 2022 picks in this off seasonI'd consider dealing Gunston if we could parlay part of what we got in a deal into getting Zach Merrett or similar.
Gunston + 2021 third for Stephenson + Phillips + 2021 first
Parlay Pies 2021 first + our 2022 first to Dons for Merrett.
Hawks get: Merrett, Stephenson, Phillips, keep our 2021 first.
Pies get: Gunston, 2021 third, decent cap relief
Bombers get: Pies 2021 first, Hawks 2022 first.
Not a deal Pies or Bombers would normally do, but with cap circumstances and Dons Merrett smoke who knows.
I reckon Pies would fairly happily deal Stephenson, Phillips and a first while they're in the window to not only bring Gunston in (who to be frank would be perfect for them) but to also get Moore and JDG over the line.
Fantasyland HYPOTHETICAL stuff of course and we'd miss our pick in 2022, but it wouldn't be a bad mini rejuvenation.

Discussing Moore is incredibly farfetched.
He is quite possibly the Pies most required player at this stage. They would laugh us out of the room for even mentioning his name.
Possibly but its a moot point comparing the importance of the two because the reason they would be bringing in Gunston would be to get them some extra scoring punch in an attempt to win a flag. They're not trading out arguably their most important player to do that, its totally counter productive.I would say Moore is just as important to them as Gunston is to us.
you're right, greedy bastard taking all the goals
If Smith or Henderson did that, we'd be raving. I think Rhys Shaw is out of his depth as a senior coach.
I would say Moore is just as important to them as Gunston is to us. In addition, Gunston is extremely durable where as Moore has been very injury prone.
Wouldn't happen anyway but a swap of these 2 players would be in Collingwoods favour in my opinion.
Exactly what i was thinking. They have heaps of Stevenson types and we dont have any. Plus he's on the outta. Love itOnly trade him if he asks to go. Then go full Dodo - Stevenson and their first! But give them back some thirds
Gunston discussion far from over. Hawks waiting on whether pies will deal first rounder + something else
i really love gunners and would hate to see him playing for collngwood but a first rounder on top of something else is pretty bloody enticing
