There seems to be continual talk of next years draft being compromised due to the potential of a high number of F/S, NGA and Academy picks. As an Adelaide supporter I know of 3 players that the club will be considering drafting next year:
Luke Edwards - F/S (Tyson Edwards) - expected 1st round pick
James Borlase - NGA - expected late 1st round to early-mid 2nd round
Tariek Newchurch - NGA - no idea
I have almost no knowledge of other clubs potential draftees though.

Is there any value in creating a list of players available to each club so that we can follow their progress during the year? Lore

I'm not sure if there's a full list available that would tell us which players are attached to which clubs atm. The best I can find is this one from September:

Once they publish a proper complete list, remind me, I'll sticky the details in this thread so they're accessible :)

The Lions have Blake Coleman, Carter Michael and Saxon Crozier. Kobe Tozer who could have been taken in this years draft is coming back as a 19 year old. Lachlan Ford is from Queensland I think he was in the Lions academy by isn’t anymore went down to Melbourne to attend Xavier Colllege.

Luke Edwards, James Borlase - Adelaide
Saxon Crozier, Carter Michael, Blake Coleman - Brisbane
Reef McInnes - Collingwood
Cody Brand - Essendon
Joel Western, Brandon Walker - Fremantle
Alex Davies, Joel Jeffery - Gold Coast
Josh Greene - GWS
Connor Downie - Hawthorn
Deakyn Smith - Melbourne
Taj Schoefield, Lachlan Jones - Port Adelaide
Ethan Baxter - Richmond
Braeden Campbell, Errol Gulden - Sydney
Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, Ewan McPherson, Nick Stevens (possibly, still unsure) - Western Bulldogs

Are all ones I have shortlisted (got about 75 total) atm, with those in bold in my top 30

Any NAB league watches able to hazard an early guess as to where Reef McInnes might sit in next years pool? Hoping Pies get to use 1st round pick somewhere else before a bid comes in.

Top 20 is the consensus although some have him top 10

Kind of surprised Kobe Tozer did not end up at Richmond or Essendon.. :moustache:

Do you know if Tozer is locked in for next year at the Lions?

I know Bruce Reville has been training with the senior squad this preseason.

Mate Edwards is gone https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/luke-edwards-gone.1215926/ find something else to hang your hat on. Oh wait, the NGA cupboard is bare LOL

I have him ahead of Downie. He will be top 10 lock. Uses it heaps better and kicks goals.

top 10 at this stage on talent plus will get more opportunities in the oakleigh's midfield. Though as we've seen this year nga/fs picks can drift a bit withs clubs high up hesitant to bid.
I don't believe that will be the case next year. Particularly by late first round or the second round. With so many kids in the frame, opposition teams will be reluctant to allow teams with academy or father son kids to pick up extra players early or mid draft.

If a team gets their draft picks far ahead of their kids, or loads up with late picks, bids might slide a little. But as we saw on Thursday with Essendon bidding early on Brisbane's academy kid and forcing a pick and match, teams won't let other teams get in a "free" pick in the open draft.

Up in Brisbane we rate Coleman highly, but clearly thought we could get in 3 picks before matching a bid on him. Dodoro made us pay there. I expect the same will happen next year. No free picks.

Anything on Presti Jr or has he not played any NAB League as an under aged played?

I’m talking first round though, the top end talent where clubs really have the magnify glass over the kids due to the massive investment. It’s just natural that recruiters put a tad less time and effort looking into players tied to other clubs, like getting to know them on a personal basis through multiple meetings to make the transition into their club easier. It’s why some clubs don’t bother to bid because they’d prefer to go with who they know inside out.

I'm hearing Cody Raak is another NGA for the Dogs possibly

Alternatively it could be a cabal not pick aligned player until someone does. With everyone with vested interests no Academy gets early call. Swans recruiter mentioned we want to call the player we want to get. Not tell his parents he was second choice or we were playing like carlton who needed more time to cook up the trade.

2 or 3 in the top 10, then the GC PP Geelong now hold, Daniher compensation pick, and another 2 or 3 in the back half of the first round.

Going a bit early on the daniher compensation pick. If he does decide to leave essendon will match any offer so Sydney will have to trade for him.
