I checked out the pictures on the Adelaide Oval website and it looks like it will be a good view. Didn't appear that obstructed.

It's one of only a few spots in the member's that offers season ticket seating.

We were in that section for the 2014 EF. Great spot to watch the game

Level 3 .
That's were I usually sit. Go in the Southern Gates and up the first escalator. Go out through the glass doors and follow the corridor around to the north. There's a bridge that crosses into the Western Stand on level 3.

It really is too bad that the technology isn't available where you can trade your seats in for better seats once better seats have been released to the ticket pool (and pay any difference obviously).

For example, you're on at 8:50 and finally get through at 9:15, you want Cat 1 but it is exhausted so you just take what you're offered, then 40 minutes later entire bays of Cat 1 tickets are available but you don't have any more barcodes/money or don't want to chance losing what you've already got and paid for.

Surely if you wanted to change to another seat your original seats could be released back into the ticket pool and you could move to a better seat if one was available.

Mind you, Ticketek have barely mastered finals ticketing as it stands, this would be too much.

Kept retrying and the 'best available' algorithm is laughable.

Ended up with Cat 3 537 Row Z after getting various options of Cat 5, sight restricted, allocation exhausted, no longer available messages, etc

Happy enough that we'll be there but it sucks badly that they've continued to keep restrictions in place for this game.

Oh the technology is totally available. Ticketek just don't have the wherewithal to use it. This is a mob who can't even work out how to let you select specific seats.

I ended up at 10:15 (having started at 8:45) getting 5 on the hill.

Does anyone know anything about the hill? There is no seating allocated, it seems to be GA only. Surely it’s not standing?

If you can direct me to any info that would be appreciated.

wow 22,000 gone in 30 minutes. From the sounds of it no one in Priority 2 got a look in as someone at my work was on at 11:05 and it came back fully exhausted
Having a look on Ticketek now, looks like category 4 is still available.

Got a ticket in 526 for 70 bucks at 11am. Happy with that considering I was resigned to the fact I’d be missing out.

I got offered category 1 seats in section 324 on another browser but it’s the same position as the much cheaper category 5 tickets, just a little closer so went with section 526. I definitely would have taken the category 1 ticket had it been on a wing.

Wonder if they are single seats. Person at work tried for 2 and got no love
That’s probably what it is.

But doesn’t it usually say single seats only?

The technology is there for a better system, but Ticktek and the AFL don't care about the fans.

In 2014 it was hopeless and there was only 1 window for all member categories. Ticketek box office employees could pick and chose aisles/bays and seats for fans lining up, but the people who line up are usually ****ing hopeless and go thru 40 variations before they chose seats so you could be 8th in line and not get served for 40 minutes.

2017 the club complained there were 2 windows and you could select your aisle/bay and click on vacant seats.

2020 they dont give a stuff.

If you went to a Ticketek office and were first in line the operator would be able to select a bay/aisle and you would have got the bay/aisle you wanted or very close to it.

I have been doing dummy purchases on Ticketmaster for the GF practice for Gabba finals and when the window opens for the public you don't get a choice, but after 10 minutes you can zoom in and select your bay and seats left - the blue dots.

Wowza, why even bother having seats behind the interchange!

Surely there's a better way to structure the interchange so that the area behind isn't wasted.

Yes.

My H&A seats are in the Western Stand and I always enter via the Southern Gates. What level are you on?
Level 3

Thank you very much Steve Dore .

There are no seats available behind and to side of the interchange bench area under Covid rules this year for about 4 aisles. It is a bit of overkill.

For normal season the first 6 rows or so nobody sits behind them. These aisles are unreserved seats so nobody is being forced to sit there. The wheelchair people have allocated slots at the back of those aisles and their view would be restricted for about 3-5m of the ground for that interchange area.

Yes there will be lots of single tickets, its just the way the system works trying to allocate groups, and gaps happen.

Dont be surprised if there are reports its a sell out and single tickets keep popping up.
