Financially poor, but on field very promising.
exactly the same shit as last year

6 of 8 opening games Sunday arvo
Maddies Match and Pride game again Sunday arvo
China/bye/Darwin
Geelong gmbha game Sunday 4:40 for none of the Saints fans that can actually get a seat at that shit hole
Fri night game - Pies host@Marvel
Sat night - host Blues Demons Dogs Hawks
- hosted by Adelaide Freo

slightly better but still irrelevant to the AFL agendas

Agree with most... Financially it's a bit rough. BUT if we are good enough we will beat a lot of those teams and be in control of our own destiny by putting bums in seats and hence, driving our revenue stream. 9 of our first 10 games we don't leave Victoria. And if we are in the hunt we play 3 or our last 4 at Marvel which could be telling. Good draw overall.

9 CH7 games is an increase on this year.

14 Mavel games is an increase on this year, where we only had 11 - we won 7/11, with losses to Richmond, Brisbane, WC (lost by 2 goals), Adelaide. More games at Marvel is a big win for us.

1 MCG game compared to 3 this year is disappointing, particularly not playing Pies there. While its good to be playing them at Marvel, we dont get any financial benefit of a big crowd so would be better infront of a bigger crowd at the MCG.

4 Sunday twilight games is an increase on this year - but two are out of Melbourne so most supporters couldn't go anyway. Melbourne Sunday Twilight on Easter Sunday will be hard to sell and Adelaide in the time slot is less than ideal because it makes it harder for their fans to travel.

Both Maddie's Match and Pride Game on free to air is an improvement on this year. Saturday night would be better, but just having national coverage is a good start.

Great double ups. I'm going to be optimistic, but we should be able to beat all of them at least once (its time we bloody beat Adelaide!)

Good from a financial point of view not having home games against GC and GWS since its harder to fill the stadiums.

Would have been nice for 1 more Friday night game, particularly as a home game, but we aren't good enough yet to deserve it.

+1 on the whole analysis. I could see us going 10/14 at Marvel which would put finals firmly in the frame considering our aways include Freo and GC.

Given where we finished and the way we played last year I think this is as good as we could have hoped for.

Make that Friday night game vs Collingwood at the G and it's just about perfect.

We can play finals with this fixture for sure.

Really, to play finals, wins should be expected @GC, Freo and @ Adel, as well as in China.

Time to, as all good teams on the rise, really have that significant win on the road.

Unless you count our last ever game at Subiaco in 2017, our last significant win on the road was in 2010.

10 Sunday games.

Kennett blew a fuse when hawthorn had 8.

Our president needs to drop the atomic bomb on AFL house
Nah. We're a little club - nobody cares about us. Hawthorn are much bigger and much more successful so of course they can complain.

So we're likely to be a much quicker team this year and we have 3 extra games at Marvel, and 14 in total. Noice.

Only thing is that half of those 14 are in the first 8 rounds, so we won't have much time to adjust to all the changes to our team and potentially a new game plan.

Will need to hit the ground running to take advantage of all these home games.

And thats the problem. We need to act like a big club.

I'm not fussed about Sunday games as long as they're not the really early ones.

This is the thing, the really early ones are excellent for me as I live 90 minutes from Melbourne and with the 1.10 games I get my children home for dinner time.

It's really about personal preference.

First 5 rounds for Ming

Round 1 - Tarrant
Round 2 - Barrass
Round 3 - Grimes
Round 4 - Lever
Round 5- a 48 year old H Taylor

I expect he will be on 30+ goals at this stage. Anything less = delist
