Justin Longmuir will be tasked with saving Fremantle from an ugly new record when he coaches in a western derby for the first time in round seven next season.
After two Saturday night derbies this year, The West Australianunderstands the first meeting between the WA rivals next season will be a Sunday afternoon fixture beginning at 3.20pm on May 3.
It will be a home game for West Coast, ensuring an intimidating environment for the Dockers as they strive to avoid becoming the first team to lose 10 consecutive derbies.

The Essendon-Collingwood Anzac Day match will be a twilight fixture, starting at 4.20pm Melbourne time.
Fremantle’s Len Hall Game is set to follow that night, with Anzac Day falling on the Saturday of round six.

From the Worst. Could have sworn it’s meant to be our home derby first up

We seriously need to make a statement next year in the Derby to end this damn drought, Go out, play hard and bring it home......I just realise what I said and know that a bunch of West Coast nuffies are gonna start quoting me saying "Durrr we're Freo's grand final"

Jane Caro now claiming that Carlton are playing Collingwood in R2 and Essendon R3. If true that means we're not doing Carlton at Marvel in R2.

Then again that also means two away games in a row for the Maggies, so also seems wrong on the face of it.

Despite West Coast’s long-held wish to share the privilege of hosting games over the Anzac weekend in Perth, Fremantle will again be granted their annual Len Hall Game that weekend at Optus Stadium.

Yep sure, mostly talks about the mob up the road

West Coast will make a rare appearance on the biggest day of the regular season next year, with the Eagles expected to kick off an Anzac Day triple header against Hawthorn in Launceston.
Anzac Day will fall on a Saturday next year, setting the scene for an extended long weekend of matches.
It will be just the third time the Eagles have played on Anzac Day in their 34th season. The previous two occasions, in 1987 and 2009, were also against the Hawks.
The Hawthorn-West Coast match will act as a curtain raiser to the traditional blockbuster between Essendon and Collingwood at the MCG, which will be played in a twilight slot at 4.20pm local time.

North Melbourne will play the Western Bulldogs on Good Friday at Marvel Stadium, with the Dogs brought back to the new slot after helping pioneer the Good Friday game in 2017.
As foreshadowed by The West Australian last week, there will be no Good Friday match in Perth next season after the Eagles hosted Port Adelaide in a Good Friday night game this year.

Shame they don't mention who the Len Hall game is against. I'd assume its the Bulldogs again.

Least we only have one trip outside of the 'usual' stadiums when we get to go down to Hobart
