Can anyone tell me why so many people are on the Andrew Brayshaw bandwagon? He averaged 70.5 points a game last year from 22 games up from 60.5 the year before what is the attraction at $382k
Got to agree. Too much of a risk. I don’t think he’ll start in as many teams as we think though.

This is how my forward line is looking.

Not too sure on it tbh but doesn't seem like there's too much options with injury clouds over Heeney and Steven.
Love the Brayshaw pick, everything else looks solid.

What do you think he'll ave for the season?

My hope is that with a new coach that gives him a bit more TOG and bigger role in the midfield, he'll go close to 85 avg

85 sweet SC points?

If so he's not worth the pick, not a keeper and he may make you 70k in the sweet SC cashola.

Needs to ave 92/95 to be a reasonable pick.

Definitely see a breakout player though so i think your onto a good thing...good luck.

What are peoples thoughts on Whitfield? I reckon he will be the highest averaging forward, but will he play enough games? He's in my side at present but is it worth the risk to start without him and get him later after the injuries? Seven seasons and only twice over 19 games. I reckon you're looking for 21-22 from starters.

"After the injuries"?

Would be very handy if you could let us know when these will be. Cheers.

Round 6 - didn't you get the memo?

After the possible/probable/very likely injuries.

Are you starting him?

Wasn't 2017 the year he was suspended for dodging drug tests? Take away that year and it's not actually terrible outside of last year

Yes, I'm starting him. At this point, the likelihood of him missing due to injury is exactly the same as that for every other currently uninjured player in the comp.

True, and maybe he gets less attention with all the guys that were injured last year back. He seemed to get banged up a lot last year.

Well some players are more durable/less of a soft **** than others, Dustin Martin has hardly missed any games over his whole career, so you think less likely to miss games. 20 x 100 is better than 16 x 111 when you start them.

Having said that I'll probably still start him - good debate though.

On greenwood who I’ve seen in a lot of teams, I’m just not sure if he can bump up his average enough to be a keeper. Don’t think he has the tank for full time mid and doesn’t seem to get enough disposals either. Looking at his first 3 years the only games that he’s scored over a hundred is when he’s layer a heap of tackles as well, awkward price where he probably doesn’t make enough cash to start him either. Am I missing something? I know he’s changed clubs and gold coast chased him but is there anything else that makes him possibly being a top ten forward? Cheers guys

Not necessarily. If you can loop rookies and nab 60-70 per week from them then they break even. You don't get a zero from Whitfield's missed games.

Having said that, I agree with you that picking too many injury prone players in the starting 30 is a surefire way to win the no trades thread race!
