I've seen Jack Steven in a few teams. 3300 points maximum allocated per game. In the overwhelming majority of games the winning side doesn't take more than 2000 points worth of that.

That's a lot of quality to share points. Last year Jelwood and Menegola dropped their averages significantly. I understand Tim Kelly has gone but Steven won't take all his points given his exceptional quality. I'd suggest that will see Jelwood or Menegola pick up a bit more slack.

Ned McHenry, getting a lot of publicity in Adelaide

“My back got to the stage where I coudn’t perform at the level I wanted or the club expected of me, so we made the decision to try to get it right,’’ McHenry told The Advertiser after the squad’s final pre-Christmas training session in 40-degree heat at West Lakes.
“There wasn’t too much structurally wrong, I was just sore in the lower back region, so we decided to give it a rest and then strengthen the core muscles to support the back.
“Our club medical staff was brilliant with that. I was put on strength programs, including advanced core movements, abdominal roll downs and side movements, to strengthen the core region.
McHenry has hardly missed a beat in the pre-season.
He has continued to work at strengthening his core muscles and has added 2kg of muscle to tip the scales at 75.5kg, having arrived at West Lakes at 70kg.
Ultimately, he wants to get to 80kg.
The only training session McHenry missed was the last one on December 19, due to “general soreness’’.
“I’ve had almost 100 per cent training completion, which has been nice,’’ he said.

Was better when he returned in the back half of the season and we played him more mid, averaging 87.3 for the last 7 games. At $412k, I'm seriously considering him as he seems to be getting through the pre-season far better this year. So, hopefully he is injury free and gets back around the 95 average mark on the season.

Mitchell returning shouldn't affect him too much as we need a Chad type in the centre square to off-set the Mitchell/Worpel/Jaeger/Shiels combo's, with his acceleration and evasiveness.

For me, it will come down to Chad in the forwards or a Hunter Clark type in defence, depending on rookies available on each line.

Any idea out of Hawthorn where they're planning on playing him? Wingard as a midfielder is a decent option, but like Walters, when they're playing forward they're too hit and miss.

Nothing concrete yet, so he is a watch during the rest of pre-season for now. However, he had a bigger impact when he was given more centre square opportunity in the last few games in 2019, so hopefully that continues this year.

Heeney is priced at his downside with considerable upside. But please, go telling people he's a shit pick because playing 22 games at a 94 average "burned you" last year lmao. He's going to be top 6 this year with a top 10 effort at worse.
