It has been our weakest line the last couple of seasons.Does it matter? He's gone and hopefully we are able to get a quality forward line coach.
I’d be expecting consolidation then rather than an external recruit.
Kennelly probably back.
This reminds me I need to watch Moneyball again.![]()
Multimillion-dollar AFL flop on the market
North Melbourne are looking set to be a completely different side by the time the 2021 AFL season rolls around.www.news.com.au
Well Shaw will definitely have his own team to coach.
I think is getting to crazy crazy brave at the moment but fair enough if Polec has issues.
I can't see where they get the currency to get a football team together though.
I get the sense the club is very comfortable with the coaching panel sans Johnson. McVeigh coached the midfield straight out of the league so they clearly rate him highly, Cox appeared to be the main guy in the box after Longmire went down to the bench late in the year, Blakey has been at it for years and is highly respected, and Kirk is now trying his hand at a more development role. Slot Kennelly back in and it's a pretty strong panel imo.

I find the coaches' voting curious. We were 1 smother away from drawing with Geelong. Yet they were deemed to have the 4 top players on the field, with 19 coaches votes to our 11. Does that mean we were a much more even team? Just seems like a form of confirmation bias.
Although I do agree with Ceaser88, which you can see just through our goal scorers, we had 7 and only two multiple, it would of definitely been different if we won.I find the coaches' voting curious. So you pull a Danger out of your arse !I actually thought it was fair. We were the better team on the day, but Geelong had the better players. Dangerfield was obviously dominant, and it felt like Menegola and Stewart were everywhere. I don't really think we had a stand-out player, rather an even contribution of solid performers and hardly any guys had poor games.
We really needed a Dangerfield-equivalent, someone who could break the game open for us with some individual brilliance. The three most likely candidates (Buddy, Heeney, Rampe) were all on the sidelines.
Talked about Dangerfield and Dusty vs Papley and Butler.Redirect Notice

Pretty dumb writer imo
Talked about Dangerfield and Dusty vs Papley and Butler.
Basically said that Danger and Dusty would be equal if not better at scoring goals.
Shows a massive lack of understanding for their roles in the team. Imo, if you are too stacked with midfielders you would choose Butler or Papley over those two guys. They offer more the structure and pressure that is needed for those jebronies to shine.
Makes me so angry.
Imagine if we just a best 22 out of the 22 highest goal scorers? That's what they are basically doing with midfielders. About as dim as a light bulb made by Eddison himself
Well Longmire voted, so he must have thought Geelong had the better players on the field tooI find the coaches' voting curious. We were 1 smother away from drawing with Geelong.
