Leppitsch leaving the tigers? has he been fired or already got a new offer?

fantastic player. now a coach with experience in different roles and different clubs. any chance we could get him in

With soft cap cuts, Kennelly on the sidelines and Johnson’s departure I am somewhat doubtful we take on any new coaches. I just think there will be a reshuffle unless others are moving on.

Yeah, seems to be the way of it. still, hoping Stevie J's replacement is from outside the swans. no idea how Leppitsch actually goes as a coach, just was one of my fav players.

Kennelly was stood down? He was reserves coach, or was that still Laidler

Laidler.

Kennelly was midfield/stoppage coach with McVeigh if I recall correctly.

No one will be becoming from outside of the club, at this point they are trying to get themselves into a position where they can keep McVeigh, Kirk etc etc etc

??
Is he a good coach, or not.
How can you rule out one area?? You don't have to coach in the area you played in (And Leppa did play forward anyway)

Anyway, is Leppas current role at the Tigers not coaching the forwards?
He's had enough , not coaching again at this stage and won't be heading north. End of story

Thanks mate i watched that game today

Every time a Bulldogs player retires now they are Premiership heroes. Last I looked the only premiership heroes in their side that day were not wearing Bulldog guernsey's

The 3 umpires from that day have been inducted into the Bulldog's Hall of Fame.

"Statistically speaking, it was the most one-sided free kick count in grand final history.
The Western Bulldogs recorded 20 free kicks to Sydney's eight, which by percentage is the largest chunk of free kicks ever received in a grand final.
The Bulldogs recorded 71.4% of free kicks given out on the day, which bests the 2012 grand final, when premiers Hawthorn recorded 21 of the 31 free kicks (67.7%) - also against Sydney."

Do you want to see me cry? Is that what you want?

Ohhh boy!
This could have been us.

Actually just feel sad for everyone involved. The ultimate "what could have been" player. Have a feeling when he's 40 odd or whatever he'll regret his actions both on and off the field. He should have had multiple AA's, he had everything except luck with injury and work ethic. Unfortunate really.

Huge bullet dodged by Sydney there... another win by our recruitment staff...

I don't feel the least bit sorry for bennel, he's been taking the piss for 10 years. There are plenty of more talented people that could have been in his shoes had they applied themselves. He just made enoug of an impact to keep himself on a list without ever applying himself... the calf injuries actually helped his cause in the end because he was still relying on the promise of finally realising his unfulfilled talent.

Enjoy!

Age reporting Bennell has retired
Yeah the posts above it already made reference to it.

Definitely a bullet dodged. I guess the nature of COVID made the incident more newsworthy than what it otherwise would be, but still. Little sympathy for him. Just one big cockup all round from everyone.
