First time ever I'm not even gonna watch itRichmond and Geelong. I'm gonna do a Terry Wallace and spew up![]()
Super envious of those two clubs. Finals, prelims, grand finals every year. So frustrating waiting for our turn.
Let’s hope for many more soonRichmond had a really bare patch for a long time.

I was going to have a go at you for posting that crap on the St.Kilda board just to piss me offThanks Rohan.View attachment 988293
It's hard to argue with anything written there mate - great find! This is worth a read. Explains why watching the game live is quite different to watching on TV. The interesting bit is that tv viewing can be improved markedly but broadcasters aren't doing it. Given they keep churning out the same crappy commentators (ch 7 especially), it's no surprise.

Ugly football: Could broadcasters be the source of AFL's image problem?
Watch AFL on television and you could see a completely different game to the one you'd see live. Russell Jackson analyses whether it could be what's broadcast that changes our view.www.abc.net.au
This becomes so damn obvious when you get one of the few commentators with an actual football brain who discusses the tactics and play options rather then narrating the play and barracking for one team or another. This is worth a read. And favoured players that they’ve got notes on. You can feel the discomfort/panic when the game isn’t going to script. This becomes so damn obvious when you get one of the few commentators with an actual football brain who discusses the tactics and play options rather then narrating the play and barracking for one team or another.
I didn't really notice how bad Bruce mcevany was until listening to him on tv this year. This is worth a read. Explains why watching the game live is quite different to watching on TV. I’m not a fan of Eddie but give him his due, he knows his footy. It’s refreshing to hear him talk about our players with some insight. Bruce doesn’t have a clue and makes up crap as he goes along. Daisy has some knowledge but has to agree with Bruce, as does ‘Hodgy’. That leaves BT to gibber like an idiot. All the old buggers whine about how sh*t all it is and how it was better in their day. It's depressing and flattening. As much as Eddie gives me the shits at least hypes the game not whines.
Its bloody awful isnt it. AFL pushing a narrative at all times despite the fact theyre meant to be an impartial entity. And favoured players that they’ve got notes on. You can feel the discomfort/panic when the game isn’t going to script.
BT and him are the worst by a decent margin. Nicknames for players, obvious barracking for one side/player, no insight into the game at all except parroting whats occurring on screen. It makes games less enjoyable when they are on.I didn't really notice how bad Bruce mcevany was until listening to him on tv this year.
Ruined Butlers goal vs the blues.BT and him are the worst by a decent margin. Nicknames for players, obvious barracking for one side/player, no insight into the game at all except parroting whats occurring on screen. It makes games less enjoyable when they are on.
