Better him than somebody like Cox or Woodcock.

If we replace Marshall with McKenzie and swing Hoff forward I can live with it. Westhoff then goes out in a week or two for Lycett when he's available.
At least structurally it’s not the Sam Gray FF peak Hinkleyball we could cop

There’s quality on that injury list.

Slycey listed as a test. Interesting.
Bassett said he wont play Thursday night on AA, but didn't mention Monday night's game.

Analysis: Not much has gone wrong for the ladder leaders, including on the injury front. Marshall’s thumb injury against St Kilda hurts as he’s contributing well to a strong forward line combination with Charlie Dixon, though Mitch Georgiades will get a look in his stead. McKenzie has been a revelation in defence but missed Saturday night’s loss to the Saints, with both he and Lycett chances to return this week.

Whoever wrote that obviously just looked at the size of the list, not the names on it, to determine not much has gone wrong. Taking a first choice ruckman, key forward and key defender out of a team hurts anyside way more than losing a bunch of smaller players that are more easily replaced.
