Prediction 2020 Ladder Predictions

For us like any club comes down to injuries.
(a) How effective will JK be this year
(b) How much improvement can we get from Ryan, Oscar Allen, Petracellue, Cameron etc
(c) A fully fit Nic Nat
(d) More goals from our mids

Make a change!!
change of what?

People Bag out Ross Lyon for being a defensive coach.

Justin Longmuir admitted himself he is a defensive coach.

With KPF stocks of Hogan, Lobb, Tarberner, McCarthy and Cox, all of them are capable of kicking 30-35 goals a season.

we also have smalls in Walters, Matera and Switkowski.

1. Richmond: A brilliant team with a daunting game style, I suspect they will win their third flag in four years.
2. GWS: Unlike other teams who have been thumped in the GF in recent years, they will be breathing fire with a super talented squad.
3. Bulldogs: With a good injury run and new belief, they will play similar to their 2016 premiership year.
4. West Coast: Good team all over the park but with important cogs having little to no preseason we'll start slow but come home strong.
5. Sydney: Surprise risers this year, decent squad and they never stay down for long.
6. Hawthorn: A return of Mitchell and some good trade pickups, and off the back of a good last half of 2019 see the Hawks return to finals.
7. Collingwood: Good but inconsistent team, Longmuir will be a big coaching loss in defence.
8. Geelong: An inconsistent season and another year from their aging stars means last years minor premier finishes just inside the top eight.
9. Port Adelaide: Close but no cigar for finals. Hinkley will be replaced at the end of the season.
10. Brisbane: Disappointing year. Without the easy draw and the charmed injury run of the past season they will struggle to make the eight.
11. Fremantle: With a good squad and the best player at the helm they will finish the highest of the new coach teams but will still miss finals.
12. North Melbourne: They will beat good teams but lose to average teams in an inconsistent season.
13. Carlton: Same as North Melbourne. They will beat good teams but lose to average teams in an inconsistent season.
14. Saints: A new coach but same old issues. Players brought in during trade period not having the impact they expected.
15. Melbourne: An enigma team. They could finish top four or bottom six. I have them here. Goodwin on borrowed time.
16. Essendon: Worsfold's last year as a coach ends in disarray for this inconsistent, injury ravaged team.
17. Adelaide: A team that needs a complete overhaul and their position reflects that. Nicks has his work cut out for him.
18. Gold Coast: For a multitude of reasons I cant place them any higher than last.

Finals to look out for:

QF: GWS vs Bulldogs: Continuing on from their EF in 2019, both teams play a bash and crash, physical final in which GWS win by a couple goals.
EF: Hawthorn vs Collingwood: A packed house see Collingwood come back from a first quarter five goal deficit and win.
SF: West Coast vs Sydney: In similar fashion to their mid 2000s battles, expect a close game with multiple lead changes and the Eagles to win by a whisker.
SF: Bulldogs vs Collingwood: In a current trend since 2014, Collingwood to knock the Bulldogs out in straight sets. The 6th time this has happened since 2014.
PF: Richmond vs Collingwood: A close game until the last quarter, Richmond to pile on six unanswered goals knocking the Pies out in an act of revenge for 2018.
PF: GWS vs West Coast: GWS to overcome a four goal last quarter deficit to hit the front and beat the Eagles with one minute remaining in the last quarter.
GF: Richmond vs GWS: GWS to put up a much better showing than the previous year but Richmond will still be too strong, winning by four goals.

Grand Final: Richmond vs GWS
Premier: Richmond
Brownlow: Fyfe and Bontempelli tie
Headline: An aging Kennedy kicks 100 goals in a season, the first time since Franklin in 2008

I dont expect people to believe anything.. we will fall off a cliff this year.. it is a tipping point.
Even the most critical of Geelong supporters wouldn’t predict a bottom 4 finish after topping the table last year. That’s full rebuild territory and you don’t bat an eyelid

but you pull someone up for predicting a little slide for Richmond

bit late to the party mate the rest of you richmond supporters have been out of the closet for a couple of seasons now

Ladder will be similar to last year with the exception of the Lions falling outside the 8 and Freo or Hawks coming in. Freo will be the flyer this season not unlike Brisbane last year but will stutter around the middle of the season when it gets wet.

N
Mate, he has Adelaide on top and Gold Coast finishing 14th.

Do you think he might be taking the piss?
Not taking the piss. There’s always a surprise shooter up the ladder and I believe that might be Adelaide. Gold Coast coming 14th isn’t a unreasonable suggestion. The competition is a lucky dip. Could push a case for why any side could finish in the 8. Which is good and healthy for the competition.

nice try-it wasn;t the "Little slide" I highlighted-read it again. I highlighted the fact he put sydney above the premiers-nothing about slides.
don;t let the facts get in the way...
