I hope everyone is enjoying the off season so far.
i thought I would float an idea past the astute footy people who post on BigFooty.
A local lightning premiership day before the labour day weekend.
My thoughts it would be a maximum of 8 teams split into 2 groups of 4.
Each match would be 15 minutes halves no time on ... 5 minutes half time break and 5 minute gap between matches (40 minutes)
Each team would play 3 games minimum. The winner of each group would progress to the final
Teams would come from the RDFL, WRFL, EDFL, VAFA and NFL.
A rough timetable of games would start at 9am and the final would be at 5pm.
The day would held a ground with no cricket pitch on it.
The cost per club would $500 which would cover the cost of umpires and balls etc.
Has anyone got any thoughts on this thought bubble ?
