AtleyTurner & Dumont.
Because he hadn't re-signed.
He's up there with the most no-brainer contracts you'd hand out.
Showed a heap to us this year off the back of a real horror injury.
One campaigner made the claim that they were all on at least $250k and should be millionaires if they saved. It brings out some of the ugliest elements of human nature.

Maj could easily have played another 50 games during the Scott era. They seemed to take forever to try something that was pretty obvious and move him to the backline.Yeah pretty sure we showed some interest previously, and I expect will again. Seems the type Bevo would love to work with.
Shouldn't weigh into the decision, but our club does a ton of work with African kids in the western suburbs, so the bonus of recruiting Majak is how much he can get involved in those programs. I wouldn't mind if we did grab him as a DFA as I still feel he has something to offer. Probably just been around too long at the Roos and you guys need to move on a lot of those guys in their mid to late 20s
He likes playing mids everywhere. Their whole list is Mids, the taller the better.
Not over yet ....Agree with all the delisting.
Unsure why Garner not delisted.
Yes he has all the talent in the world but is likely to pull a hammy getting out of bed during pre season.

The average salary is over $250k. Considering 1st and 2nd year draftees are locked at set amounts at less than half that and we had few high-end players, you would expect most guys that have been around for a fair while to be on a reasonable wicket. They wouldn't have been earning that all their careers though and even though sportsmen get to average their income and get involved in tax minimisation schemes (like negative gearing), they would likely still pay a fair bit in tax.
Agree with all of them except with Bonar . Seems slow . But happy to be proven wrong!I’m quite bullish about some of the young talent North have. I hope we go down a similar route. These players have all shown something this year.
Bailey Scott
Luke Davies-Uniacke
Jy Simpkin
Aiden Bonar
Nick Larkey
Ben Mckay
Tarryn Thomas
Curtis Taylor
Jack Mahony
Flynn Perez
Tristan Xerri
Cameron Zuurhuar
Kyron Hayden
I'm not sure why it should matter whether they were well paid or not. The fact that for most of them their careers in football are over before their 30th birthday shows that this is a tough ruthless caper.
Guys like Crocker and Murphy have had two or three years on the base wage.
As well as what Snake listed, perhaps GWS would look at Majak. Their ruck division is woeful. An SA team might consider Hosie.
Robert Walls would have considered it.Caleb Daniel being the outlier.![]()
No harm in asking heyAnderson and Hayden extending

I can see us having another fairly deep cut next year. The candidates would include Campbell, Tyson, Atley, Turner, Garner if he can't get his body right, Hall, and JZ.
Let's not re-write history.
Tyson had played 17 games in 2018 (including Melbourne's elimination, semi and prelim finals), 19 in 2017, 21 in 2016, 15 in 2015 and 22 in 2014. That's pretty durable, and he averaged 20+ disposals every year he was at Melbourne. And he was 25, which is right in the sweet spot.
It hasn't worked out, mostly due to injury, but at the time a three year deal made sense.

Looking forward to Caro/Damo flogging saying it was too harsh and we have no idea on how to manage a list, Scotts would have this and that, blah, blahYep. We won't be the only club. Be outrage from Caro / Damo / and alike until every other club does it > crickets.

I think another thread had mentioned that, since he'd been delisted and re-rookied, he's a DFA at the end of every contract and one of the WA clubs was rumoured to have made him an offer. Why would people even consider Kyron would be leaving , he's quick , brave , tough and takes the game on. We would want more of his type.
As much as I feel Wood and Ahern wasted their opportunity, all these guys who pulled on the jumper have my respect and gratitude. I never got close to playing at that level (I did line up at VFL Park wearing a * jumper in little league, but didn't get a kick) and thank them for representing our great club.To all 11 players, thank you for your service to the North Melbourne Football Club. I think I can speak for pretty much everyone on here when I say that we hope you all find careers soon, even if it’s other AFL lists. I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of these blokes got picked up by us again and added to the rookie list (I reckon one or two blokes deserve a second chance). This is a pretty big start to our off-season. Hopefully more ‘BIG’ decisions are down the track.
Yep as a player he was sick of the ”Lets draft another half back” attitude during the draft period.Brady would have sat down with a red pen in hand the moment he decided to take the job.
The bloke's a very smart operator and I'm confident he will be just as meticulous with this list preparation as he was when he was a player.
Which was outstanding.
I've never been more confident in us as a footballing entity going forward as I am now.
The Joyce era is slowly being torched.
