Dangerfield, Bontempelli, Fyfe, Cripps all want to be forward more.
Fyfe does not want to be forward more, he would much rather be in the middle where he would be in the mix for a third (and fourth) Brownlow. He is sacrificing that chance for the benefit of the team and to allow the young guys more midfield time to develop.

Guy is a legend!

Is it a better deal though. How much per year is each offer?
According to Nixon it is 3 years instead of 2 years at WCE. If you are a guy like Cox the longer deal is the better deal even if it is a little less money per year because at least you are guaranteed more time in the system.

Like Hogan to GWS.

How long is he getting at GWS?

WHy would anyone offer 2 or 3 years for Cox, he should only get 1 year offers as he is fairly lucky to not be delisted.

of course they did. Anything to destabilize us.
And I was wondering who Hackdorn's next Freo target was going to be after Hogan and there you have it, he will be on the radio tomorrow saying his scoop is we want to get rid of Cerra now as he is not happy. The only journalist that actually seems to have time for us is Ryan Daniels, he even said the Hogan recruitment was worth a punt.

I find it weird how the AFL isn't looking into the amount of players leaving GWS.

It is insane that every year there is an exodus. But it flies under the radar. If it was Collingwood there would be a royal commission.

I just don't understand it. Devon, Shiel, Adams, Treloar, Cameron, McCarthy, Lobb, plowman, Marchbank, Patton, Scully, WHE, the list never ends.

Something stinks at GWS.

The revolving door at GWS isn't for first rounders, they clearly are run by a bunch of arrogant pricks.

Im surprised Greene hasn't left but I believe he is one that pulled his head in and managed to be a professional footballer.

I find it interesting that they would gladly pick up Hogan. They don't care. The AFL is a joke

Pretty sure it was Rendell who was discussing it.

12, 2021 1st and Cerra for #2 seems overs. Cerra currently best mid (v Andy for top spot at least) in that draft. Only 21. In a re-draft, Naughton would be only other that comes close to competing. So, a proven theoretical #2 (21yo) + 12 + maybe 10 for a #2?

Having said that, I've been fearful of Cerra going back to Melbourne from day 1 once he proves himself so if you could get Logan for Cerra and 12, I would probably do it (not that Cerra would be too thrilled about going to Norf I would suspect but could make some good coin before free agency).
We have another 12 or so players that come from over East, why so much concern for Cerra and non for say Luke Ryan or others? Cerra has the potential with his elite kicking to be anything and we would just be the joke of the competition if we gave him up in a trade for a player that has played 8 WAFL games with one or two other top 15 picks. If we are going to trade Cerra it needs to be in a trade for someone like Martin or Bonts only.

Maybe the players are just easy prey for Victorian clubs.

Fremantle are on track to make an impact in the AFL in the near future with a very bullish assessment of the club’s list from Matt Rendell on AFL Trade Radio.

Rendell, a former Adelaide list manager who also worked in Collingwood’s recruiting department, said Fremantle were on the cusp of returning to finals with a young and talented list.

“I’ve given a title or name for each club’s list and for Fremantle, I’ve put ‘sneaky good’ or ‘pay attention’ because they’re climbing up the ladder. They’ve done some really good things,” Rendell told AFL Trade Radio.

“They’ve got a heap of good young players I rate at 22 and under. I’ve got about 13 of their young players who are regulars in their team.

Griffin Logue didn’t play much this year. Michael Frederick, Taylin Duman, Bailey Banfield. Brennan Cox was fantastic in defence.

“Liam Henry came in at the end of the year, Lachie Schultz played as a forward for most of the year.

Hayden Young is an absolute star but he missed with injury for most of the year. Caleb Serong won the rising star, Mitch Crowden played as a defensive forward. Andrew Brayshaw, Adam Cerra are fantastic in the midfiled and Sean Darcy rucked.

“They’re all 22 and under, which is a majority of their best team, really.

“Their age profile is last, the 18th in the AFL. Their games (experience) is 17th. For them to do what they did this year, I can only count one bad game.”

Rendell said there was more to like about Fremantle than just their playing list, saying the club had the right people in place to extract the most out of the team.

“I think they’re extremely well positioned. They’ve got some gun kids, their coach is a star, Justin Longmuir. He was fantastic at Collingwood with their defence and (Fremantle’s) defence was fantastic this year,” Rendell said.

“David Walls is excellent as list manager and recruiting manager, and Peter Bell has done a really good job of getting the right people in the right places and building this young team up.

“Longmuir has taken over this role and he’s all about culture, culture and culture. They are going to have a sustained period of excellence because they’ve got all the right people in all the right places.

“He’s got (new assistant coach) Matthew Boyd over from Collingwood who the players rate really highly.

“They are very well positioned to climb the ladder. Will they make the eight next year? It’s borderline.”

You have grown up loving footy and being told you are good at it.

You live in Melbourne and regularly go to the 'G with your school mates and 50,000 other fans.

You have a poster of Ablett or whoever on your bedroom wall and dream about playing big games at a packed stadium.

You work hard and end up so good at footy that you are one of the absolute top 18 year olds in the country.

And then you get drafted to GWS where you play in front of 10k with no atmosphere. When you watch Fox Footy, some mid-ranking Collingwood or Essendon type who has a hot month is labelled a "Star" while most fans barely register that you exist.

I reckon it is amazing that they have kept some of their big names for as long as they have.

His highlights look pretty good and would add some outside speed JLo was talking about.
But the question mark is why has he barely played a game at Brisbane and they are letting him go?
He asked to come home for family reasons, I believe.
As for why he isn't playing I think Brissie posters said he didn't get involved much but had good skills iirc. I'll check that out again at some point. He certainly fits our need for outside run but I'm just wondering where the list space comes from, especially if we get Phillips or someone else more high profile.

Cox seems a strange choice considering the NGA boys this year and into the future .... 90% of them will be similar types to Cox

3yrs just seems stupid to me

We should be using that list spot to try to find a Jake Ricardi type forward
