Saad is handy, but hardly going to make a difference to our side IMO.

If it was a choice between Saad & Jaidyn Stephenson i would take Stephenson who is untapped potential and fills a need for us long term.

Saad will make a massive difference because we have few players who can run and carry the football and hit a target off half back

Given we have McKay and Curnow this trait of breaking lines and kicking to a contest could theoretically work in our favour. Moreso than for teams without quality KPFs.

His foot skills aren't too bad. His team mates are usually very stagnant there aren't many options but to kick it long to a contest.

Besides, that's not different from any one else in our back line anyway. Might as well have one that can accelerate and carry.

I'm a Saad fan and want us to get him but im pretty sure its an effective kick when you go long to a contest, we have plenty who can do that. Saad is still a good user but its his run and gather to get around the first or second wall of teams zones to either get out the back or find a passage. Our defence was far to stagnant coming out of defence and whilst Williams will play predominately mid he will still get the ball in this zone and offer the same thing. If we can get one more good mid with these 2 we are a massive threat next year.

Adding Williams and Saad really changes our team. I'd expect SPS to play midfield more of Saad comes.

Cripps, Walsh, Williams, Setterfield, SPS and Ed sounds good to me

Certainly helps with quick ball movement
