Makes sense for WCE to look at Fisher, but think he stays particularly given his contract status.
We'd be mad to do a straight swap for Petruccelle.

Me personally?
I hated Petrucelle last year. I would have sent him to Geelong as part of the TK trade.
He is a raw athlete that lacks polish finishing his own work.
During the marsh series this year, he started to show some improvement and some promise.
Petch is a work in progress over the next 2-3 years I fell.
Only reason I'd be hesitant in trading him would be if it came back to bite us in 5 or so years time, the same way that Josh Kennedy did.
But why isn't Fisher in your best 22 at the moment, and how would you guys rate him?

Fisher is coming back from injury as is part of our long term future 22.
I’ll give our 2020 round 3 pick for Petrucelli though.

Seems like a combination between us wanting to remain unchanged as we were playing well, and difficulty proving himself returning from injury as we struggle to arrange any decent reserves scratch matches.
I like Fisher - he moves well in traffic and is very good at buying himself time to use the footy well, rather than slamming it on the boot like many of our players do. Bit concerned that he might develop into not quite a mid and not quite a forward.
If Fisher requested a trade to Perth yes I'd want us looking at players over picks, and Petruccelle would be one of those.
If Petruccelle requested a trade to Carlton there's no way I'd be looking to put Fisher on the table.

That's a fair assessment. By all reports Petrucelle loves it in Perth and we are not the type of club that forces players out as part of a trade for a different player (see TK trade), but I thought I'd check to see how you rate Fisher, because I hadn't seen him play much.
I looked him up on YT and his highlights looks like he has good tackling pressure, a nice kick and he knows where the goals are.
I wouldn't trade Fisher, just like WC shouldn't release Petrucelle

It is a period of uncertainty ahead, no doubt. SOS had a charisma and cunning that gave us an advantage. The direction forward is clear: internal growth, acquire midfield speed and skill, lock down defender (particularly small to mid) and goalsneaks. Broad bow but gotta get at least some of that right.
Another year under Russel will pay huge dividends too.

There seems to be cracks, Cain putting his 2 cents in, that I hope get repaired before the silly seaso begins. Let's focus on next week.
This is pretty much where I didn't want us to end up...and maybe it's not too late yet, but to not know what we need and to acquire talent for talents sake alone, is a bad place to be in.
The professionals at the club would have a clearer view than for any of us here, but one wouldn't want to be flip-flopping on what we need, come years end.
It's not now that we just want to become competitive but to aspire to being a key finals player for years to come.
It's tricky after performances of the calibre we saw yesterday....really tricky and for all the names being raised, I feel it will come down to two players that may have s real outcome on our immediate future....it won't be five players. We really have to make the right call for the right time, for the right game, for the right coach.

He was one of Bolton’s success stories but, out of luck or favour with Teague. Would like to see him get a run at it. Other than some blistering speed, JO not setting the house on fire either. Give them both time.
