Don't think so.

In fairness to Moore, he's a really athletic player and has potential. There's a chance he could do a Liam Jones.
Moore is a spud
Couldn’t get a game when Richmond tall forwards were all injured.
What’s there to see.
We have been gifted so many young tall forwards from our past list manager.

I thought you had to be on the list to play Marsh?
You can it seems, which is a smart addition, and I relish answering this question repeatedly for the next 3 pre-seasons.

Help me

TDK? The start point for him is that his on-ground attitude is terrific.
I don't think I've seen him spectating, as he just wants to get involved any way he can.

If it's true that we wanted Spargo with our #30 in 2017 and missed out by one.....we may have got lucky. Maybe.

EDIT: If TDK does play forward tonight, expect a mark of the year attempt.
Spargo? All the noise around here was about Tim Kelly in the lead up.

Would love to see TDK played as a full time ruckman in the VFL to accelerate his ruck skills. Unfortunately Pittonet will get most of the ruck duties. Both Levi and Liam can cover for Kreuzer in the seniors.

Not sure Papley should be on our radar. Sydney would want too much. Don't want another McGovern trade where we paid overs. There are still opportunities for cheap acquisitions of players who meet our strategic needs.

My first priority would be to lure Zac Williams across as a restricted free agent without sacrificing our draft pics. Someone with pace elite foot skills is exactly what we need. He also offers us the versatility of playing off half back as well as form part of our midfield rotation. Can you imagine Zac kicking it to our forwards? Lets throw some decent cash at him we saved away for Coniglio.

If we cant land him my next target would be De Goey who is out of contract. He has match winner written all over him and will only get better. Will cost s but as he is uncontracted we can at least negotiate on price with Collingwood.

Other uncontracted players for targetting would include Cockatoo and Parfitt from Geelong and Fritsch and Hunt from Melbourne.

This doesn't make sense to me.
De Goey would cost significantly more than Papley, and assuming Charlie is ok, seems to be not as good a fit for our forwardline.

Why on earth would De Goey consider leaving Collingwood? And maybe wait until the end of this year before knocking MCG's price.

I'm not fussed about two second round picks for Mitch.

Yes we wanted Kelly, but my understanding was that we knew we couldn't get him at #30, given -

West Coast had #13, #21 & #26
Geelong had #22 & #24

Had have we taken him at #10 though? That wasn't going to happen.
Dodged a bullet.

Papley has a few years to go in his current contract. That affects his price. We would have to pay premium to grab him in and make an offer too good to refuse to Sydney. Sydney no longer need our first round draft pick to secure Daniher as he is a restricted free agent and Papley is part of their long term plans.
Collingwood want De Joey but dont have a strong bargaining position. He is uncontracted and can walk into the PSD without a contract unlike Papley, so unless they can match Carlton's offer, they would have to accept less as part of a trade than what they would had hoped for had he been contracted. Collingwood would be restricted given the money they have just splashed out to retain Grundy. Not saying De Goey is a mercenary but didnt Eddie leave us for an extra $50,000 a year.

My understanding was that the Adelaide offer was significantly greater than ours but he would have stayed for a ‘token’ $50k increase on our (paltry?) offer.

Agreed.
If memory serves me correctly, one of those second rounders was gifted from the AFL via Geelong so in real terms, we only shelled out a second rounder for McGovern who i believe will make that investment a massive bargain in time to come ...

Nope two second rounders plus that concession pick

Wasn’t there a pick that basically cancelled out McAdam also involved ?
Maybe after all was said and done it was 2 x 2nd rounders for McGovern ?
I’m still very happy with that and would wager at the end of his career it would been seen as very good business ...

Still needs upgrading

What ever happened to McAdam? Didn't even play a game last year. Thought he was one who was supposed to be able to okay a game straight away?
